BASED ON THE RESULTS of placement test; each t is responsible for arranging extra hours for the students in need. We need to start the extra lessons on the first weekend of school.

According to Placement Test results, mix the classes while sending them to A and B. No single class should be with all the best or all the worst students.

b. First week in class activities should be level based (of students).

c. We can use “word map activity” to form a story. In this one, around 10 words are written on the board and ss are asked to write a paragraph/short story using the words given.

d. We must announce/agree the rules and procedures on the first week of school.

*homework, behavior issues, readers, classroom procedures, activities…etc. must be mentioned and clarified to not suffer from the possible complaints during the whole year. THESE must be written and posted somewhere in the cabinets. We can involve the ss. IN a positive way.

e. Smart School homework and exam modules must be used.

f. Time Capsule activity is a great one for the first week: ss write about 10 sentences and the teacher keep those papers to return at the end of the year so that the ss compare what's achieved and what’s not achieved. (PADLET based is also possible if you lock it when done)

g. "A 2 day IN 5" activity is another useful activity. It’s on EDMODO already.

h. BEFORE TELLING YOUR NAME TO THE CLASS

Name Drawing game: Drawing a picture representing the letters of your name.

For example, your name is MEHMET. You can draw on the board

Then, without writing anything on the board, you ask your students what your name is. The s does the same thing in pairs and in front of the class eventually.

h. Star game: Drawing a star and putting sth. important to each edge AND let them ask only yes/no questions. (Successively name, year, place, initials, logo.)

i. T/F Game:

T writes 5 sentences on the board and ask ss to guess whether they are true or false. Ss guess in pairs first and then they do the same thing as a whole class.

j. Introduce ESOL exams as well.

k. Introduce every single Masters of English activity in a detailed way.
