The life of slaves in the Caribbean were very traumatic. They were taken from their homes without a choice, forced to work in awful conditions, and allowed no rest time. Slaves were very mistreated and very miserable. They were taken on a long voyage in a ship packed full of people, separated from their family, and provided tiny portions of food. Many slaves became sick on the journey, some even developed diseases. The trade left terrible effects on Africa, and impacted the world in so many ways. Slavery started wars around the world and violence between countries.
