         <title>Dominant Visual Image (Neo)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The dominant image in our logo is the 2 mountains that make a completed word that makes MOUNTAINS and US also it's the main/only image in the brand/logo. In these dominant image we intended to have two mountains creating a letter that makes a completed word which will give a simple but effective way to give it a simple contrast look. Also the contrast blend with the red and white gives a nice texture with the red blending into a nice pink/red-sh color. The reasoning with our color choice was because we need a better color and different textures with our unique design this also gives a nice structural design. Although we had a boring design we had added a nice red texture which complements each other really nicely. IN my final statement i would just like to add that we may of had a boring design but we had a simple but entreating design that really appeals to the eye.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Negative Space Use (Raymond) </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the logo we have created, we have the letter 'M' and the word 'Us'. I have chosen these for my negative space due to the fact that mountains starts with an 'M'. The U and S are meant to represent 'Us' which is a shortened word for 'ourselves' in our quote "It's not the mountain we conquer but ourselves". In the image the two mountains create the 'M', while in between the two mountains is a 'U' and on the mountain to the right there is an 's' causing there to be the word 'us'. The two negative spaces we have used are significant to Mountains Whanau through many ways, it represents that we must conquer ourselves in order to conquer our tasks. Overall the negative images blend in very well with the logo and are somewhat visible.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In this logo the main colours used are red, grey and a bit of black. The reason we used the colour red was red represents harmony, love, passion and also determination which is what the whanau is and what they do to strive. Grey is a symbol of balance and very neutral and formal. The two colours work to complement each other to give it a visual appeal. In the image we have the 2 red mountains which is a "M"&amp; "U" is a bold and venous shadow image, red and the Gray serve as understanding . The two colours are significant to us as a effective whanau as it represents our core values in mountains. we are impacted on our well balanced students who are new to mountains. In conclusion these colours work togther to have a visual impact on us as a whanau.   </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The symbolism on our design was two mountains that are shaped like an "M" with a "U" in between both of the mountains with some details that have been carved into an "S" to create the word US in/on the mountains. The reason for the 2 mountains in the logo are for creating letters, the two letters are M &amp; U. The letter "M" was created to make the word Mountains, it also used to complete the word US as well. We used the shape of the mountains to create the letter "M" and "U" to give a letter to complete a word like "Mountains". The "US" was incorporated within the mountain due to us being the Mountains Whanau, "it's not the mountain we conquer but ourselves" is the Mountains Whanau slogan, while in our logo the us represents that we are the mountains and we need to conquer ourselves and in doing so we conquer the mountain. The colours in the mountains that make the words were to gives a popping affect when you saw it like a "M" &amp; "U" to give a simple but effective logo. Overall the logo shape is an effective by simple logo design with a recognizable  symbol.     </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Our logo design is cohesively tied together with a clear balance of both text and image. The image we have created is two mountains is both tied into text and image, the mountains we have created have the word us implemented in it, representing our slogan "it's not the mountain we conquer but ourselves", the mountain we have incorporated is also meant represents that we are the mountain, and we need to conquer ourselves in order to conquer the mountain. This slogan resembles what mountains do as a whanau and also how the strive to do higher and we climb to the top of mountains students. this also ties in with the dominant image but making our picture having many different features to give a nice contrast between colors from red to a reddish-pink this also give an appealing view of our logo. When we design this logo we intended to have a simple but effect logo that had a nice texture and blend. I also think we had a great balance between our 2 colors and the black outline. We really liked our final design as it ties in with our whanau as we move on next year. Overall I and Raymond were very pleased with our design and hopefully, we had a good design that the year 7&amp;8s liked<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Typeface of our logo is a mountains picture that created a letter and us my a default/semi-decent fancy text for the rest of the placement of the typeface. The reasoning with the semi-fancy typeface was that we needed a simple typeface that would make the design pop also we needed a design that would make sense. In this design we had a little trouble with the fonts as we thought plain and simple would do the trick as it did we simply played around with fonts as we look online and most of the logo designs had plain fonts. In the analysis of this typeface, we think that simple and pain gives a simple effect with the logo and it's easy to recognise from afar. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>(T) The central value of the mountains brand identity should be respect and clean. (E) The value would be defined as respectable and clean. The mix marketing plan would see the value demonstrated through mountains clean environment and behavior. (X) Having a clean environment and be respectable for it is an important value it's also really ideal focus for mountains as they have a lot of issues of not being respectful to teachers and students and not to their working environment. Mountains students have really tried to keep their Homebase clean and have a positive learning start to the day. On the survey the class did the 3rd highest response was that mountains was a nice clean whanau and they were lacking on the respectable side of things. (A) The MHJC vision is always respectable to staff and students no matter what as this is a common rule/behavior I think this an ideal for the brand identity for mountains whanau. (S) The line above I stated that MHJC common behavior is to be an environmentally clean school and also being a well-known school for being respectful to visitors/trips we go on. </div>]]></description>

(E) Mountains could be defined as this value due to many different reasons, mountains students have lead many different projects/events and/or have taken up many leadership role's, one of the many projects they have lead was the Tane project. (X) Mountains students have selected many different leadership role's from executive council, librarian, ICT, ect. (A) The mountains brand idea is leadership, to lead many things, and to become a leader, to strive for the top spot and to lead. (S) Overall I believe this brand identity suits Mountains Whanau very well.</div>]]></description>
