I predict the conflict will be man vs. society because the main character, Miranda, is having problems relating society. One example of that is she has to walk by this strangle man every day when coming home from school.
So far, I think the book is unique. Every now and then Miranda is talking to the reader, which is supposed to be the writer, I'm guessing. Normal books wouldn't usually talk to the reader, therefor I think the book "When You Reach Me" is unique.

The possible conflict in this story "When You Reach Me," could be when Sal and Miranda stop being friends. I think the conflict started when Sal got bullied and punched in the stomach by a boy in a green Army jacket. On pg.11, it states that Sal and Miranda live in the same apartment building. They used to walk home from school together for companionship, but after Sal gets punched, they aren't friends anymore. Boys would call Sal names like "quack" and a boy in a green army coat came up to Sal and punched him in the stomach and hit him in the face for no reason Since. that happened Sal and Miranda are no longer friends and I don't think Miranda understands why? I like this book so far, it is amazing! I can relate to the characters to my own personal life so for this reason I love this book.

I think the conflict of the book is Man Vs. Society because every day, Man because everyday Miranda has to talk to strangers just to know if they are nice or not. Also that she lives in a basically run-down apartment with not much money. She also has to try to walk away from that group of boys which actually didn't go so well seeing that Sal got punched which practically changed Miranda's life. I love this book so far it's really interesting and kids can relate to a kid who is a "Latchkey child" And although I like Richard, I wonder who is MIranda's real dad.

I think the conflict in the book ''When You Reach Me" will be man vs. man. I think this because the group of boys seemed suspicious. They try to act cool, even though they aren't. They could lead to a robbery or something because Miranda's family lives in a old apartment and it is all beat up. I know this because the "work order" says that there is dirt everywhere and the door doesn't close all the way so it doesn't always lock. Also, I think that the old man on the corner could be a "suspect".

I like the book so far because it is sort of a mystery because you never know what any of the charactors will do next. The old man on the corner might stop waving his and at the street. Also, I like mystery because a action packed scene might happen and you won't even expect it. That Is how I like the book so far.

As told in the book (or letter), Miranda and Marcus interact after Miranda takes Marcus to the dentist in the school and while Marcus is waiting for his appointment, Miranda notices that he had a math book. That indicated that he was interested in math and reading. Miranda also was reading a book while waiting and Marcus told her what he thinks of the book Miranda was reading. A sort of friendly argument then sparked about the plot of the book. This brief bonding between this two characters could maybe lead to Marcus befriending with Miranda or vice versa which then could lead to Marcus telling Miranda why he punched Sal in the stomach that day or maybe Marcus could tell Miranda that he was the person who took her house key after all the times Miranda passed by him past the garage. (Another thing the two have in common is their names both start with the letter M).

When Marcus and Miranda interact, it starts out awkward. After all, Marcus punched Miranda's best friend and now Sal doesn't talk to her. Miranda starts reading a book and Marcus interferes by talking to her. They argue about time travel and the story. They both read the book but had different theory's about it. In the end though, Miranda finds out that Marcus used to live in Detroit, and that he's argued with his second grade teacher about this book too! This scene contributes to the plot by Miranda learning more about Marcus and soon maybe possibly learning about why he punched Sal.

What they have in common is that they both have read the book that Miranda is obsessed with. When Marcus sat in the patient seat waiting for the dentist he did not even remember Miranda. Marcus picks up his mathematics book and reads it. Miranda thinks Marcus loves math but when she asked him he says it in a stupid tone "yea." Marcus and Miranda are in common because they both end up reading the same book called "Time Travel." Marcus tells Miranda what the scenes are and they both disagrees. This scene leads to the plot because it is telling the reader Marcus, and Miranda like the same things, and they both have different point of views.

I feel that the Book was very hard to solve because every time you think something, something else happens. Like on page 153-154 it states that "Colin kissed Miranda,' then on the next page it talks about "Julia's mother had a whole shelf of cooking books. That is a totally different thing. I love this book. I love this book because it tells you about the life of Miranda in there perspective. Also I love the character of the Laughing man. I totally love the character of the Laughing man because in the begging of the book it states that the Laughing man laughs. I feel that He has a horrible life and the fact that he laughs is amazing. He sleeps under a mall box and he laughs.

I really liked the book because the note form was cool and the time traveling was pretty interesting. Another thing a liked was that it was so unexpected. You never knew what was going to happen next. The book had many emotions like when Collin and Miranda kissed, that was romantic and the laughing man dying that was really sad and the notes made it seem like one big mystery and in all it was so surprising. There were action packed scenes in every chapter of the amazing book. I really loved the book, "When You Reach Me".

Shocking final chapters of the book to be honest. I was shook when the laughing man died because I thought Sal was gonna get ran over but that didn't happen. The mystery was really difficult to solve until I read the last couple chapters of when Miranda kept thinking and going over the notes again. I never expected such an ending like that. I low-key kind of knew that the laughing man wrote the letters because everyday, he sees Miranda and everything she does throughout the day. Overall, the book was fun and had many shocking moments along with it's easy to read words it had. Great ending with Miranda's mother getting rich. Props.
