It is best to buy clothes that are easily cleaned because a one year old child can be very messy so they may dirty their clothes. Also you don't want stains on the clothes so it is best to buy clothes which are easily cleaned. 

Buy clothes which will be comfortable for Alex because you don't want his clothes to hurt him in any way.

Make sure the clothes fit him and is secure enough to wear for example buy clothes which will be the right size so they won't fall off easily.

When choosing clothes for Dylan it is best that they are of good fitting, because if the clothes are loose they may be a tripping hazard for Dylan when he is walking about.
Finally, when Dylan's parents are choosing clothes for him they should try to find long wearing clothes as they will be strong and last longer.

Also the clothes should be comfortable as this means Dylan will find it easier to walk and he will be able to walk around comfortably instead of walking around wearing clothes which are uncomfortable and irritate him.
