Sierra de la Alfaguara.

One of the access points to the Sierra de la Alfaguara is the town of Alfacar, a municipality that was a recreational place for the Zirid monarchs. The Fuente Grande spring, also known as Las Lágrimas, is located in the upper part of the town. The fountain, dating from the 11th century, is one of the most important vestiges from the time of the Caliphates that are preserved today. This is the Alfacar´s Cross, it is a monument that is in the Sierra de Huetor. The people think that is one hundred years old. It was strunk by lightning a long time and it was recently restaured.

Lo hicieron los Arabes junto con una acequia para llevar el agua a Granada.

I´m going to talk about the higher area of Alfacar.
It´s located near the Alfaguara mountains, so you can see a beautiful landscape.
I live in this area, in Victoria Eugenia Street.
The streets are narrow and steep.
The buildings are low.
There are old neighbourhoods and new neighbourhoods with new houses.
There is a small church.
There is a school called CEIP Alfagurarilla. This is my school.
There is a sports center.
There are several small parks.
There is a big square with a fountain called Fuente Chica.
In the highest part of Alfacar, there is a special place: Fuente Grande, a big spring.
