Seven years ago, I traveled to Mecca and Medina, the holiest cities in Islam to perform Umrah. In Makkah, the sight of the Kaaba and the unity among millions of pilgrims during Umrah is very moving. The people there are very generous and kind. I also had the opportunity to climb Hira' hill and pray in it. Madinah's Prophet's Mosque offers a quiet sanctuary for prayer and contemplation. In addition, I visited the tomb of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W in the Prophet's Mosque. I had the opportunity to enter Raudhah which is one of the gardens of heaven.

FIRST DAY AT NEW SCHOOL

I began the day at 5 a.m. with sahur before fasting. My family and I arrived at school by 8:30 a.m., where I registered for my first day. At 10:30 a.m., I attended a briefing by the school director until 12:30 p.m., followed by prayers. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., I spent time with my family, buying school supplies.

Back at school by 5 p.m., I prayed and then played badminton and volleyball. At 7:15 p.m., I broke my fast with my classmates, followed by evening prayers. The day concluded with getting to know my classmates and a night drink at 10:30 p.m.

My first day was busy and rewarding, filled with activities and new friendships.

Summary of the Week:

Monday: Had a Rapat Umum session with the candidates for the Masters program to look who is the best to be in that position.

Tuesday: Voted for the Masters candidates. It felt good to be part of the decision.

Wednesday: A regular day, just attended all my classes.

Thursday: Gave a history presentation and got praised by my lecturer for being the best presenter. Felt really proud.

Friday: Went to the masjid for Jumaat prayer at midday. It was a peaceful time.

Saturday: Went out with friends and had a lot of fun making great memories.

Sunday: Joined a community clean-up (gotong-royong) in the morning. It felt good to help out.

WEEK 2 (29th April-5th April)

Summary of the Week:

Monday: Started the week with a surprise question in math class. Spent the evening catching up on homework.

Tuesday: Had a fun English class. Went for a jog in the park after school.

Wednesday: Hari Pekerja (Labor Day) meant a holiday! Spent the day relaxing in my room and watching my favorite shows.

Thursday: Continued with school, focusing on Sejarah (history) class.

Friday: Had art class, where we started a new project. In the afternoon, I played basketball. Performed the Jumaat prayer at the masjid.

Saturday: Relaxed in my room and read a novel. In the evening, played a football game.

Sunday: Participated in a gotong-royong (community clean-up) as usual.

WEEK 3 (6th May-12th May)

Summary of the Week:

Monday: The Majlis Tertinggi Pelajar (MTP) was officially inaugurated, marking a significant event for all students.

Tuesday: Attended the first meeting of the football club to appoint the president and other positions. Also had training. (Note: I was appointed as the Naib Presiden.)

Wednesday: Celebrated Hari Raya Aidilfitri at school, a day eagerly awaited by all students. Attended nasyid training in the evening.

Thursday: Continued with nasyid training.

Friday: Another day of nasyid training.

Saturday: Recorded nasyid performances.

Sunday: Went outing to IOI City Mall with friends Adif and Syed, celebrating Adif's birthday with his family. Purchased new football boots.

WEEK 4 (20th May-24th May)

Monday: Started the week with regular classes. Spent the evening doing homework and studying.

Tuesday: Traveled back home from college in Seremban to Kedah by train. It was a long journey, but I enjoyed the scenic views along the way.

Wednesday: Had a holiday for Hari Wesak. Enjoyed a day off, spending time with family and friends.

Thursday: Relaxed at home and caught up on some reading. Had a nice dinner with family.

Friday: Celebrated Hari Guru (Teacher's Day) at school with special events and activities. Enjoyed the festivities and showed appreciation to our teachers.

As time slipped by, I found life getting tougher. I faced a bunch of challenges that made it feel like I was constantly navigating a storm. Through all these ups and downs, I've slowly begun to learn the importance of reaching out. It’s okay to admit when things feel heavy, and finding support in friends or even just talking it out with someone has made a difference. I’ve realized that confronting these challenges isn’t just about surviving; it’s about growing stronger and discovering who I am along the way. Each struggle has taught me something valuable, reminding me that even in difficult times, there’s a chance to learn and evolve.
