That being said there is a balance in all things, especially in education. Kids need creative teaching methods to keep them engaged in the learning process. Technology is a great way to bring more diversity into their learning. I believe that their should be a balance between technology, paper materials and having natural experiences with the earth. Introducing technology is a great way for students to learn new and different subjects, that without technology they wouldn’t have ever learned. But with that being said, there should be restriction on how much usuage of technology is happening in the classroom. As long as it's being used for educational purposes (and in moderation), I see no harm in allowing technology in a 3rd grade classroom. Where technology gets tricky is with using it for entertainment. Tech should never be used as a form of entertainment in classrooms, only for educational purposes.
