Basically creating a matrix.<br><br>2. Rehearsing:<br>Repeat what you know<br>Listen to others&nbsp;<br>Having an audience forces you to organize<br>Talk to self/repeat outloud to self<br>Requires deeper level of processing.&nbsp;<br><br>3. Venn Diagrams:<br>2 interlocking circles that are used to compare and contrast the similarities and differences between two concepts or topics.&nbsp;<br>Used to deepen comprehension<br>Used as a pre-writing/visual tool<br><br>'4. Mapping:<br>Organizer used to remember information. &nbsp;<br>Reconstruct, re-present headings and sub-headings and to synthesize information according to the student's understanding.<br>Spatial and visual tool that works well for/with scaffolding<br>Can be used to map illustrations and/or phrases to deepen understanding/representation to show their comprehension<br><br>5. Reciprocal Teaching:<br>Students become the teachers within their groups. &nbsp;<br>4 Strategies: predicting, questions, summarizing, clarifying. Teacher needs to first teach these concepts and the academic vocabulary then they reciprocate teaching in their groups.&nbsp;<br>Helps students to think about what they're reading allowing them to predict, ask questions, summarize, and clarify.&nbsp;<br>Students are actively involved in helping one another and are engaged in meaningful tasks<br><br>6. Summarizing/Rehearsing information with mapping:<br>Takes the map creating and adds rehearsing and presenting to their groups.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
