My favorite character in the book was Daisy the dog because she was very fluffy and cute. It appears on every page and supports the main boy in every aspect of his life.

This story is completly different from the last book which we read in 3rd grade but has some simliar characters like Moon Face. It is a strange adventure that happened with two twins, Peter and Mary. There home was the most exciting place because it with just outside the gates of Fairyland. There mother used wash clothes there and as a bonus, she used go to shopping and the twins would enjoy with the odd folks and Princess Fenella (she was the daughter of the king ( Lord Rolland) and queen (Lady Rozabel)). But one day, they wished near the enchanted well and the Sly-One kidnapped her and took her to The Land of Storytellers. The children have a very awkward adventure as they cross the Land of Stupids and Giantland until they fianally reach the the Land of Storytellers. They escape with Fenella, Pop-Off the pedlar and the goblin dog. They finally reach Fairyland and the Sly-One is punished. I recommend my friends to read this book because it is so humorous.

In this book, a young colt, Black Beauty, shares his life experiences with his horse masters. Some are cruel and some are kind. This book was published shortly after Anna's death and her motive to write this book was to draw attention to the treatment of horses. In those times, when transport was newly invented, they used horses. But, they thought that horses are machines. They are like a train. So that is why they used to whip them. But that's not all. Even, like they used 'fashion' term. For 'fashion' of horse(s) they used cut off their tail, and put on a bearing rein on them! So far, so horrific. But I have not told the most horrifying part. The bearing rein they used to put on was affected their health. In fact as mentioned in the book, nearly half of the horses died due ill-treating and bearing rein. I recommend my friends to read this book because they will come across how a horse's life goes. Lesson to be learned from this story is we should not be cruel towards animals. Animals too have family and feelings . They also have equal right to live on this Earth as we humans.

This book is a collection of 32 short stories written by his Hon'ble Sir Shri R.K Narayan. It is not just any collection of stories, but it is engages all age types along with them. The plot is just really simple. It is based on the lives of ordinary people like you and me in a fictional South Indian town called Malgudi. From an astrologer to a young child who is about to be hitched at such a tender age, this book has a classic style and a masala twist of the Indian culture, it's background, society etc. What I really like about the book was the vocabulary. If you are a beginner, you might not understand some particular words but that doesn't mean that you would not be able to understand the meaning of the sentence. I would suggest to keep a dictionary while reading this book. My favourite stories were The Second Opinion, The Tiger's Claw and Naga. I decided to read this book after listening a lot from my parents. It was even telecasted on Doordarshan when they were kids. So was curious to read it. I recommend my friends to read this book because it depicts the alluring beauty of India's true rich culture which can capture anyone for hours or even days and it is perfect gift for bookworms who love reading any genre .

( here's the link-Today on Green Humour - Comics by Rohan Chakravarty - GoComics)  Ruddy, a mongoose ( no, a detective one, not ordinary!! ) inspects natural crime scenes ( not really crime scenes, but natural phenomena ) with the help of Dr. Shama and his other '' assistants'' HE ALSO DID DISCOVER A NEW SPECIE!  It is actually a new specie discovered in 2016. It's name is Zoothera Salimalli or The Himalayan Thrush. I really loved this book because it is mysterious and also amusing and that is the cause I recommend my friends to read it for.

All right, now you maybe wondering that ''is there a kid who really came from space?'' Well, your half close. There are twins called Tamara ''Tammy'' Tait and Ethan Tait. So, the genre is science fiction, time travelling and alien abduction. So, Tammy gets abducted by the Anthallans, who have similar characteristics to us, but have a hairy body, a flat nose, big eyes and a tail and do not wear any clothes. So Ethan kinda has that ''twin feeling'' you know, when you have twins! So he pairs up with Ignatius Fox Templeton (Iggy, for short), the very hairy ( and mysterious) Hellyann. One weird fact- Iggy has a pet (live) chicken called Suzy! (why would anyone want to have a pet chicken! So awkward!) I recommend my friends to read this book ''coz if you love sci-fiction, this is a must read for you''.

I loved this book! The best part was when Harry went into Gryffindor. And I have also started reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets!! I want to read the whole series. And there's also a 8th book of Harry Potter called 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child'. My friends should read this book because it is full of suspense in each page.
