NAME:PARAS, JOHN HENRY D.
YEAR AND SECTION:3RDy.r 3EDSST5A
In my view regarding the implication of Korea in establishing an empire and dynasty.I see their very establishment to present power and establish their very Identity to somehow Identify and not be easily conquered by the existing foreign country that is influencing and directly having their own feud with them in the middle. this does not just served to portray outside their nation, but also to their own since they are divided in terms of kingdoms due to ethnic Identity and establishment of power which overtime shape their history due to various changes that change the very status of their dynasty that some evolve into an empire due but then lately crash due to the interaction of Japan and China in the sino-japanese war and other world changing evernt that land them to their very state of the moment. The very thing that I see toward this if we comapare this to our own development as a country during the very early civilization here in the country is that we also did establish some territorial domain that each Barangay does possess but due to our the topography and very living we didnt establish any dynastical rule such as the very country of korea does and its because of our nature during the native time of the early Occupants here in the Philippines..and the fact that we didnt getbthe chance to establish such supremacy to our own land leads to the us being easily conquered by foreign invaders and toppled our own rule onto our land unlike the Koreans as they establish, enrich and develop their very land to be their own.however as said again been torn due to authoritarian despute and foreign influence during the the cold war era.

Cremen, Marky C.
3RD YEAR - 3EDSST5A

the implication of having an empire and dynasty in Korea is having an authority to rule all over the nation. having power gives strength to the nation in terms of conquering other nations and also, protecting their nations. somehow, in Korea's dynasties, there is only one kingdom that is not so powerful, but the tang dynasty in china, helps them to become more powerful. unlike the other kingdoms, they can stand by their own feet and become powerful among the other kingdoms in the nation. in the case of our country, the Philippines divided with the ruler who called the rajas and data. they are the ruler of that certain city.they have the power to conquer other states. that kind of government system. Spain conquered the Philippines in 333 years. everything changes, the culture, beliefs, even the government system. the friars and the church are the rulers in a certain place. in the accounts of our history, many foreign nations ruled the Philippines. we don't have any liberty to rule our own land. and nowadays, we are depending on the help of others, it will result in conquering our nation again.

Name: Umalay, Marites A.
Yr. & Sec.: 3EDSST5A
-- The implication in Korea of having empire and dynasty to rule is having a higher authority and a role to rule and govern their nation. From the very beginning we seen how empire and dynasty from other country manipulate Korea that brings big impact to their culture, tradition, religion, and even in daily life that they’ve adopted. Before the division of North and South Korea, there’s a dynasty and empires which conquered Korea such as China and Japan which under Sino dynasty, they are seized the land of Korea. Dynasty from China has a big influence to Korea and they want to reform Korea by adopting the western ideas and using the western technologies and that is why, Korea is more modernization until now. Japan is the first who conquered North Korea but when they defeated in WWII of Allied, Korea was owned by US but Soviet Union or we know as Russia also want to conquer Korea, that is why they divided Korea in North and South without consultations to Koreans. For how many years they’re in the hands of outside power of empire and dynasty which brings a lot of reasons why it is in their present. Just like Philippines, our own account, we are colonized from other dynasty and empires which is Portuguese and other dynasty which we were influenced by their religion, culture and specifically the system of the government which we adopted. The role of a higher authority cannot be ignored. This is due to the fact that they set laws and rules which have to be adhered to, hence governing the region. Both dynasties and empires may have significant differences, but are of great use in the society.

Name: Santos, Jomalee Luchie C.
Year and Section: Third Year 3EDSST5A

1. In Korea what is the implication of having empire and dynasty to rule a certain nation?

In my own perspective, the implication of Korea of having an empire and dynasty is to have a organized system of government. To unify the kingdoms in the country they established a dynasty, and as I see it helps to provide a protection to the people and the peninsula. In scenario thousand of centuries before, conquering territories to expand the empire power is very prominent that time. When the Goryeo Dynasty was founded many powerful empires and foreign nations tried to invade the Goryeo, hence because they have enough military strength they prevent it from happening. Furthermore, Dynasties help the country to prosper, since many development were made. Such as, Laws was been enforced as well as a formation of government bureaucracy were being implemented, Religious belief were spread through the region, Arts flourished which also been a great success to the dynasty, Technology, Medicine, Agricultural also develop, Lastly Great rulers of Korea helps to promote education and science. Drastic changes were occurred because of empire and dynasties ruling the Korean Peninsula, they have establish their culture and way of life and It helps them to create their sense of own well being as a Korean that we could see up to today as one of the great established asian civilization in the world.

2. While in our account it was never ensue if you trace our own history.

In my perception, Way back thousand of years Philippines have Monarchs, Royal Families and Nobles that we could identify as Raja, Sultan and Datus who I guess have created their own small kingdom in the region. Hence, Philippines never had empire nor established a dynasties thus because of the unique geographical structure of the country, Philippines is considered as an archipelago in which it consist of thousands of island. If you will think it would be hard to conquer lands because we need to travel across seas and the battle will also be held in the bodies of water. Philippines maybe develop their vast culture, arts, religion and education but having a highly centralized government weren’t a thing in the ancient Filipino people. Also when the Spanish arrived in the Philippines and colonized the country for hundred of years it played a big part to the Philippine history and then the life of the Filipinos where then influence by western culture.

Empires grow by acquiring or conquering neighboring territories, and once large enough, can stabilize the politics of a region enough so that the positive effects of peace and prosperity through trade can occur. Based on their history, they were highly conquered by some east Asia countries like China and Japan. China, as the largest and most technologically and culturally advanced society in East Asia, exerted the most important outside influence on Korea until modern times. With the different cultures, religion and form of government, the identity of Korea is slightly molded and trained with the manipulation of other countries since colonization was highly prominent in their times. Having an empire provides security and protection from different invaders.

Form of dynasties were also famous like the successful Qin Dynasty of China wherein Emperor Qin orders is to strengthen the unity of the nation and to maintain the Qin Dynasty he carried out many reforms in politics, economy, military affairs, and culture. These influences from empires and dynasty plays a big role in Korean Culture especially in modern days.

2. While in our account it was never ensue if you trace our own history.

In relation to our history, and examining the history of Philippines, before the Spanish era, we are known for having monarchs like Datu, Lakan and Apo in Central and Northern Luzon, Sultan and Rajah, they are titles used for native royalty, and are still currently used especially in Mindanao and Sulu. It is difficult to have or declare an empire because we are considered as an archipelagic country and we are having thousands of islands that gives us hints that there are different people having also different way of living and form of culture and worships.

Name: Roma, Mary Valerie M.
Year and Section: 3rd Year and 3EDSST5A
1. In Korea what is the implication of having empire and dynasty to rule a certain nation?

The implication of having an empire and dynasty in Korea is to has power and authority within their territory to rule. They used it to govern and to establish a firm foundation for making their kingdom on top and no one can conquer them. On my point of view, the empire and dynasty in Korea is become a way to enrich the culture and identity of the kingdom and to ensure the safety and power of it. When they are ready and their action forces are in good condition, they conquer other neighboring territories to expand their land, power, man and resources. Having an empire and dynasty make a certain kingdom think the best way to survive, how they will be the best, what they need to improve and techniques in conquering other territories. If your kingdom is not good enough to defeat others you will lose, the power you have will be gone. Having this government system is about making your kingdom the best and most powerful to defeat others, to survive and to be on top.

2. The governing ruler or emperor has the authority over his inhabitants to protect against the colonizers as well as empowering their empire by taking the possession of their neighboring empires. Emperors also obliged to unite his inferiors or subordinates in order to uphold and highly establish their culture and beliefs. Unlike in other history where fighting against other dynasties is present, Philippine ancestors are focused on boosting their culture. As the empires emerge during their first civilization their goal was to develop something that will help them in everyday lives. They much more focus how to express their cultures and identities and how they will response to the world. Every empire was seeking for economic stability, strengthening the armies and expanding their territories. We all know if they have huge territories it is very light for them to live and survive because they would have a lot of resources and it will easy to seek their primary needs. They are very rich with regards to their identities and cultures because they had been colonized by other countries like China and Japan; they adopted the cultures, beliefs, practices and way of life. Because of the greed and selfish desires it urge the people to rebel and fight what they think is right for them.

While in our account it was never ensue if you trace our own history.

In our record from the experience in history, the lowland peoples lived in extended kinship groups known as barangays, each under the leadership of a datu, or chieftain. The barangay, which ordinarily numbered no more than a few hundred individuals, was usually the largest stable economic and political unit. Within the barangay the status system, though not rigid, appears to have consisted of three broad classes: the datu and his family and the nobility, freeholders, and “dependents.” During that time they were more focus how to aim a stable economy and activities and how they organized and unify their baranggay. Maximizing their resources is their strategies to survive in everyday lives.

SENOBIO, GINALYN N.
3EDSST5A
Assignment 3

1.In Korea what is the implication of having empire and dynasty to rule a certain nation?

The implication of having empires and dynasty in Korea played a crucial role in maintaning stability of its society. For example, through Silla dynasty, the three kingdoms were finally unified. As a result, Silla experienced expansion in many aspects such as in territory, population and economic development. However, it was replaced by Goryeo Dynasty after inner-state fighting and established stronger ties with China. We can notice that aside from the establisment of strong system of governance, king of kingdoms protects it's people from outside invasion through military forces and aid from other countries. But somehow those partnership made Korea to be prospect of invasion too. Moreover, empires and dynasty was made useful in enriching Korea's culture and in mobilizing its resources over its people. It is just unfortunate to think that there are a lot of souls being sacrificed just to have centralized government and to proved that one state is superior to another.

2. While in our account it was never ensue if you trace our own history.
As compared to our history, the fact that Philippine is an archipelago where as various political entities was already there prior to the arrival of the Spanish. Considering that, we don't have the capacity to established empires and conquer other regions compared in Korea. Philippines was divided into numerous barangay (derived from the word balangay, a kind of boat used by a group of Austronesian peoples when they migrated to the Philipines). These barangay said to be headed by Datu, Sultans and Rajas. Members of noble class were presumed to be descendants of ruling class. By that time, power we're measured in terms of connections, trade, and control of people. Unlike Korea, states power were measured by conquering another states, expansion of territory and having a centralized government. Notably, one important similarity between these two countries was that having social hierarchy in both society. Inspite that, both countries are manage to gain it's independence and continue progressing in today's modern time.

BERNARDEZ, JAMIE B.
3EDSST5A

1. In Korea what is the implication of having empire and dynasty to rule a certain nation?

The implication of having empire and dynasty in Korean is having an organized government. The earliest evidence of a unified government on the Korean peninsula dates from 700 BC of the Gojosean Empire, as the Han River was considered to have arisen and had its capital. Somewhere about 400 BC, Gojosean was highly influenced by Chinese and Manchurian culture. A Chinese kingdom invaded the dominion of Gojoseon only to split away a century before returning to China's Han Dynasty. Eventually, this back-and-forth dispute turned Gojoseon into a Chinese client state. In Pyongyang, ancient burial sites are packed with Chinese products such as silk and jewelry. This indicates that the kingdom of North Korea was a trading center with a vibrant culture that was closely related to ancient China. In the South Korean kingdom, by contrast, tombs are packed with local products instead of Chinese. This slight distinction suggests that in the north and south of the Korean peninsula, ancient cultures were as strongly divided as they are today.

2. While in our account it was never ensue if you trace our own history.

Here in the Philippines, before the Spanish colonization, the Barangay was the oldest form of government in the Philippines. It was an isolated village that typically consisted of thirty to one hundred families located along a river bank or at the mouth of a river that poured out into the sea. The barangays were used to transport the early Filipinos to the various parts of the Philippine archipelago and their cargoes. A datu or village chief, who was also known as raha or rajah, ruled each barangay. Some data were better than others and, as a result, were adequately regarded and exerted enormous power. The archipelago 's political growth was such that there was still no national or central government. The primary responsibility of the datu was to control and govern its subjects and to promote their well-being. He was the chief executive, lawmaker, and judge in times of calm. And, in times of strife, he was the warriors' supreme commander.

These southern nation grew so wealth's that they rebelled against Pyongyang rule (their kingdom) and formed their own Independent kingdom. The desire has reached far that the Silla kingdom has conquered its small neighbor Gaya and later own extended the conquest to southwestern kingdom of Baekje but on the 10th century Silla has collapsed and broke its power. We are commonly ruled by a datu, sultan, lakan or a rajah. But we are not united, early filipinos treat other provinces as other country. We also established our very own heirarchy system. Unfortunately we didn't invade other countries because we are just a small community and we didn't establish a single empire in our history until the spaniards came here and colonialize our country and began their empire here.
