In my own perspective, the implication of Korea of having an empire and dynasty is to have a organized system of government. To unify the kingdoms in the country they established a dynasty, and as I see it helps to provide a protection to the people and the peninsula. In scenario thousand of centuries before, conquering territories to expand the empire power is very prominent that time. When the Goryeo Dynasty was founded many powerful empires and foreign nations tried to invade the Goryeo, hence because they have enough military strength they prevent it from happening. Furthermore, Dynasties help the country to prosper, since many development were made. Such as, Laws was been enforced as well as a formation of government bureaucracy were being implemented, Religious belief were spread through the region, Arts flourished which also been a great success to the dynasty, Technology, Medicine, Agricultural also develop, Lastly Great rulers of Korea helps to promote education and science. Drastic changes were occurred because of empire and dynasties ruling the Korean Peninsula, they have establish their culture and way of life and It helps them to create their sense of own well being as a Korean that we could see up to today as one of the great established asian civilization in the world.

In my perception, Way back thousand of years Philippines have Monarchs, Royal Families and Nobles that we could identify as Raja, Sultan and Datus who I guess have created their own small kingdom in the region. Hence, Philippines never had empire nor established a dynasties thus because of the unique geographical structure of the country, Philippines is considered as an archipelago in which it consist of thousands of island. If you will think it would be hard to conquer lands because we need to travel across seas and the battle will also be held in the bodies of water. Philippines maybe develop their vast culture, arts, religion and education but having a highly centralized government weren’t a thing in the ancient Filipino people. Also when the Spanish arrived in the Philippines and colonized the country for hundred of years it played a big part to the Philippine history and then the life of the Filipinos where then influence by western culture. 

In my own understanding, the indication of Korea having an empire and dynasty is to establish culture and identity. Empires grow by acquiring or conquering neighboring territories, and once large enough, can stabilize the politics of a region enough so that the positive effects of peace and prosperity through trade can occur. Based on their history, they were highly conquered by some east Asia countries like China and Japan. China, as the largest and most technologically and culturally advanced society in East Asia, exerted the most important outside influence on Korea until modern times. With the different cultures, religion and form of government, the identity of Korea is slightly molded and trained with the manipulation of other countries since colonization was highly prominent in their times. Having an empire provides security and protection from different invaders.

 Form of dynasties were also famous like the successful Qin Dynasty of China wherein Emperor Qin orders is to strengthen the unity of the nation and to maintain the Qin Dynasty he carried out many reforms in politics, economy, military affairs, and culture. These influences from empires and dynasty plays a big role in Korean Culture especially in modern days.

In relation to our history, and examining the history of Philippines, before the Spanish era, we are known for having monarchs like Datu, Lakan and Apo in Central and Northern Luzon, Sultan and Rajah, they are titles used for native royalty, and are still currently used especially in Mindanao and Sulu. It is difficult to have or declare an empire because we are considered as an archipelagic country and we are having thousands of islands that gives us hints that there are different people having also different way of living and form of culture and worships.

Way back on Philippines history before the Spanish colonization here, we are governing by the Raja, Datu and Sultan who are considered as nobles and royal families on that time. Unlike in Korea and China’s dynasties conquering other territories did not happen in our country, I think it is because of the situation of the land here in the Philippines and also their role is to govern their people but not expand their territories, they are much focus on their land rather than others.

The implication of having empire and dynasty to rule a certain nation was the innovation and development. As the empires emerge during their first civilization their goal was to develop something that will help them in everyday lives. They much more focus how to express their cultures and identities and how they will response to the world. Every empire was seeking for economic stability, strengthening the armies and expanding their territories. We all know if they have huge territories it is very light for them to live and survive because they would have a lot of resources and it will easy to seek their primary needs. They are very rich with regards to their identities and cultures because they had been colonized by other countries like China and Japan; they adopted the cultures, beliefs, practices and way of life. Because of the greed and selfish desires it urge the people to rebel and fight what they think is right for them.

Here in the Philippines, before the Spanish colonization, the Barangay was the oldest form of government in the Philippines. It was an isolated village that typically consisted of thirty to one hundred families located along a river bank or at the mouth of a river that poured out into the sea. The barangays were used to transport the early Filipinos to the various parts of the Philippine archipelago and their cargoes. A datu or village chief, who was also known as raha or rajah, ruled each barangay. Some data were better than others and, as a result, were adequately regarded and exerted enormous power. The archipelago 's political growth was such that there was still no national or central government. The primary responsibility of the datu was to control and govern its subjects and to promote their well-being. He was the chief executive, lawmaker, and judge in times of calm. And, in times of strife, he was the warriors' supreme commander.

This 3 kingdom have dispute since Silla kingdom and China united to conquer those other kingdom they work together as one. In the Philippines before the conquerors arrived, we’re have an own practices that Datu and Sultan protects us. Unlike in Korea they have an empire and dynasty. We’re just simple and happy for what the wild and environment produce us to survive our ancestors. We’re don’t conquering each other because the system that we have are Barangay leadership(Datu’s) who can help you to maintain the peace and safety. We’re also have alipin but not actually insulted or degraded by Datu. Since we’re occupied by Spaniards in 333years, we learned a lot in their teaching, beliefs either practices that affect our culture and history. But not only Spaniards, we’re also occupied by Japanese and Americans that affect our standard of living, beliefs systems and some techniques in economic growth that until now we’re practicing.

The implication of having empire and dynasty to rule a certain nation is during that time having an empire is very important because It ensures the stability of the nation by giving its needs, protecting it from the enimies, expanding their power and territories and developing its economy. It also gives name to a nation they will became known, respected and terriefied by other neighboring country. 

In Philippines before we are colonize by Spaniards the kind of ruling system that we had is the barangay where Sultan Datu or Raja who has the highest title and considered as a noble family that rule a small territories that they covered it’s because of the land in the Philippines and the way they expand their territories is by loyalty and marriage alliance compared to the government system of the outher country like Korea who has the power to rule big territories and expand it more by conquering.

Dynastic Rule is very common before wherein a series of rulers are from one family who governed the empire. The Yi Dynasty is the longest serving political entity in Korea from 1392 – 1910. The implication of empire and dynasty at that time is very crucial for the unity and prosperity of the nation. The rulers ensures public order and safety especially in case of foreign invasions such as the threats of Japanese, economic development that leads to progress which includes diplomatic ties and trades and the empires secured a strong government.

Unlike in Korea wherein one kingdom is governed by only one dynasty, the Philippines is composed of many barangay headed by datus. They think that other provinces as other country. We never try to invade other countries because we have small community until the Spaniards colonize us.
