winning can disrupt our lives if we pursue it with the wrong intentions. There have been notable sporting heroes over the years whose lives were derailed because of winning all the time. Some turned to: illegal use of 🤬, reckless driving, public misconduct and marital affairs to name a few. They believed they were invincible and consider themselves winners only and not human beings with a capacity to win. I can list a dozen sporting heroes whose lives have been ruined because of winning but that is beside the point of this article. Winning can only take us so far and unless we continue to win, the only way is down. Losing affords us the gift of ascending the ladder of excellence while developing strength of character. It forces us to question our motives and many times we return stronger than before.
Mrs Leong
Good answers. Nice to give examples of how people's lives have been derailed cos of misconduct .

QII
I would like to own a pet like the one in the picture because I love animals. This is because pets are companions and help me to feel less lonely. Dogs are a human's best friend and they make me feel happy. They are really cute and fluffy to the touch. They also teach me to be responsible as I need to take care of my own pets. Responsibility is important hence taking care of a pet can teach me to be more responsible.

Q2
I would like to work as a vet because I hate to see animals falling sick. Pets cannot verbally communicate. Being a vet can help me understand the condition of the pet and help to ease their pain if they are sick. I love animals so being a vet can help me make sure that they are safe and in their best health so that they continue being a human's best friend.

Q3
I agree to a large extent that we all have a responsibility for the animals of the world, especially those that are endangered. This is because due to civilization, humans have destroyed the natural habitats of the animals who no longer have homes. We should be responsible for what we have done. Additionally, animals cannot communicate and are helpless hence we should advocate for them so that they have a home to stay in.
Mrs Leong
Good detailed answers. Nice vocabulary eg advocate.

(1)Would you enjoy playing an energetic sport like hockey? Why, or why not?
: i would enjoy playing an energetic sport like hockey as i've been playing different energetic sports like basketball and table tennis . i feel that it will be really fun, gliding on the ice instead of running. i've personally learnt ice skating when i was young therefore i know that learning hockey or playing it will enable me to learn skills like determination, hardwok and teamwork. As this spot takes a really long time to be mastered, because you have to master skating first next you have to master the movement of the hockey stick.

(2)If you were on a losing side, how would you motivate yourself to keep trying?
i would keep thinking of the end goal and motivate myself by telling myself not to quit or not to give up. thinking of the end goal will keep my mindset positive as i'm the type of person who will keep thinking about what will happen if i fail and soon it will impact me and the way i play.

(3)How far would you agree with the view that winning is not always the most important thing?

:winning is not always the most important thing because values learnt are more important. wanting to win constantly has caused people to go out of line and ways to cheat to win that specific event or test. It brings out the worst in people. For example, some athletes would use 🤬 to give themselves a boost to win or students using cheats to pass or to ace the test. However, when people lose they do not open their eyes and mind wide enough to see that they have actually learnt some values like sportsmanship, hard work, Professionalism and discipline.
Mrs Leong
Good answers. You may want to g give examples of values that can be learnt from participating in eg a tournament.

Why, or why not?
i dont know whats the animal in the picture

(2) Would you like to work as a vet? Why, or why not?

i would not like to work as a vet as im scared of alot of animals and also it will be hard to diagnose animals as they can not communicate and tell you about their pains and aches, thus, there is a higher chance of misdiagnosing them and could be fatal. But i would like to work as a doctor that treats humans as i find the biology behind human body more interesting than those of animals, also i can go around the world helping people with the skills i've learn making their life and health better

(3) How far would you agree that we all have a responsibility for the animals of the world, especially those that are endangered?

i do agree that we all have a responsibility for the animals of the world especially those that are endangered to a certain extent.
Humans are causing animals to lose their habitat with the ongoing expansion of countries, urbanisation and indecent acts of humans that are causing harm to animals now. For example, the forest fire in the United States are caused by humans. Human-caused fires result from campfires left unattended and the burning of debris. which caused thousands of animals to die and lose their habitats. Even now the extinct white rhino was pushed into extinction by us humans , to prevent anymore animals that are endangered to go extinct people around the world must learn about them, their horns are just thicker version of our nails, so there are no benefits as they are just myths. with more people being aware about the endangered animals more people will take responsibility for other peoples action and their own.
Mrs Leong

Good answers. This is because these animal brings the life to the the world. Just like humans, they deserve to live their life in this world. It has been seen that humans are the cause of the extinction of some of the animals. Not only that, however humans also have made damage to some of their habitats. Humans should think twice before putting these the animals in a dangerous state and destroy their living life. Therefore humans should be responsible for the animals of the world.
Mrs Leong
Good answers

Q2) If you were on a losing side, how would you motivate yourself to keep trying?
I would tell myself that I have learned from an opportunity that was given to me and I would learn from the mistakes I have made and come up with different ways to improve it. Also I would motivate myself by looking at the bigger picture, if i had won or achieved my goals. All the sacrifices i have made would be worth it and i would be enjoying all the achievements that i did. Lastly, I live by a quote which is, “ sacrifice now, enjoy later or enjoy now, suffer later.” It means that if you sacrifice your time now, focusing on your end goal, you will successfully achieve it or enjoy the time now and slacking, it will be less likely to reach your end goal.

Q3) How far would you agree with the view that winning is not always the important thing?
I strongly agree with it statement as in a competition it shows everyone's capabilities and their strengths also everyone would want to perform at their best as they would not want their efforts to go to waste. Moreover the most important thing in competitions is know that you did your best . And in a group competitions it is important to have fun.

2) even though I like animals I would not want to work as a vet. This is mostly because unlike humans who can tell me what is wrong or where they are hurt animals cannot do that . So I would have to use the information the owner gives , which may not be correct and my own examination on the pet to find out what is wrong . So when I use this information together to diagnose the pet and if it is wrong , I might have to redo the whole procedure and have to explain to the owners . And sometimes the owner may not be understanding and would want answer to what is wrong with their pets . Which would be very stressful .

3) I think to we do have the responsibility for the animals of this world , especially those that are endangered . We as humans to build our homes and schools take away the animals homes , so the least we can do is try to provide them a save habitat even if it is manmade . More endangered animals such as rhinos are endangered because of us , since people want to keep there horns as an decoration item or for medical use . We as Humans should do a proper job protecting animals. If we try to raise awareness or reduce the demand for exotic animals products we can reduce the animals becoming endangered or extinct, like the last 2 white giraffes that which were killed by poachers . So if try to raise awareness and help organisations that protect this animals we will be playing a part to ensure they are safe .
Mrs Leong
Good answers.

2)If I were on a losing side I would surely be very motivated to do even better than the opponent . Because I am those that do not wish to lose to someone due to my winning mentality is very strong . Some Athletes like eg Lionel Messi , Usain Bolt have a very strong will to win but even if they lose for that game , the next match they they play oconpete in can actually show that how they have improve Afro’s the last match they have lost , and thus losing show me that it is not a very bad thing as we can learn through it .

3)I agree to an extent that winning is not the most important thing as chinese there is a proverb starting “ failure is the mother of success “ hence this actually tell me that failure is just a learning point for every person to improve to the best of their potential. I also disagree to an extent that because being able to win bring more confidence to win , letting them to have better performance
Mrs Leong
Nice to use a quotation to support your answer but you may want to explain it more fully.

(2)What do you think you might learn from being involved in a live performance?
: i will learn values such as being courageous and hardwork. Being on stage takes a lot of courage as hundreds of eyes are glued onto you as you are the center of attention at the point of time, therefore , if you get nervous, the people watching can tell. It takes a lot of effort to pull of a performance firstly if you play the song yourself you have to learn the rhythm, notes and strumming pattern of the song. As a pianist myself, it takes a really takes a long time to figure out the notes and to memorise the song after figuring out the notes. It really takes a lot of hardwork and dedication to be involved in a live performance.

(3)How far would you agree that the people who work behind the scenes for any performance – stage, film or tv – deserve as much credit as the performers?
: i would agree a full one hundred percent that people who work behind the scenes deserve as much credit as the performers, how will the show run if only the performers did it, the backdrop, the sound effects, the stage effects, stage costumes are done by many teams to give out a well thought up, well put together, wonderful performance. so without them, the show can't go on. Therefore every person working for the performance should be given equal credit for the work they put into it.

And also by helping them to be healthy would not let them to be endangered so that more people from another generation would be able to see it

3) I fully agree that everyone have a responsibility to take care of not only for the endangered but also for each animals . As animals also do have live and if everyone push away their responsibility it would be very disastrous for every animal . As for teamwork , when I am on stage I would have the person that play guitar , person that play piano 🎹 and drum and much more . As in order to play at the best level , and to have a successful performance u need the cooperation of the team . If they do not cooperate there would not be good performance for the audience to enjoy .For respect it is also the same you need to respect the audience and the teammates so when u respect them they would also respect you and so the performance would then go through smoothly .last but now least , perseverance is bcz you have go through months of tough training showing that u have a very good mindset of “not giving up ”

3)They should actually also get the same credit as the performance bcz during the tough training you was having they would be planning till late for the stage to be at the best level and may even have lesser sleep than the performers

There was about 5 hours before my family members came back, so i had to take care of myself while they were outside . So, i needed to be self reliant. I borrowed money from my mom to settle my lunch and dinner by going to a hawker centre as there was no one to cook for the family at home.
3) I completely agree. Why, or why not

Yes, i do believe people can be taught to be creative but to a certain extent people can be taught to see things differently from other people like if people show a image of a concert most people would say the performance but other people might say the preparation of the performance and how it leads up to the event itself but it also depends on the student if he is able to continue being able to be creative and think of ideas that is our of the box some people in the world are born with a creative and expression mindset some do not however people can be creative reguardless especially with the advancements of techonlogy in the world
Mrs Leong
Quite good answers.

Tell me about them.
In my household, my grandmother do not exercise much as she finds it really strenuous to her back and legs as the area im living in has an incline at the walk way. However, my family has constantly asked her to walk around the house or do simple activities like bouncing the basketball around or ride the exercise bicycle instead of just sitting on the couch watching the television. However, my grandmother likes to play mahjong and we try play with her often so that her brain will be simulated and her hand could stretch when shuffling the tiles.

(3)How far would you agree with the view that it is good for young and old people to do things together?

1:i strongly agree that it is good for the young and old to do things together. when in today's generation there is an age gap between the two different generation. young people nowadays do not interact much with their grandparents or older people as they feel like there's nothing in common to talk about. However, if young people would talk to their grandparents they would learn many things about their life in the past like how they lived and what they did. my grandmother has teached me how to cook traditional food like kueh and how to make things from scratch like kaya a traditional spread for bread.
Mrs Leong
Nice to relate your own experience.

Q2) One of the aspects that I will learn from doing live performances is courage. As a girl that is shy and introvert, I do get nervous speaking and opening up in front of many people. I would stutter or overthink. Eventhough it would be hard at first to do live performances, I would surely get use to it when I experience many live performances. Through that I would be able to boost up my courage. Another aspect I would learn is how to be more people oriented. When I gain my courage I would easily be able to start up a conversation to the people around me. I would encounter different types of people and I would be able to interact with people easily.

Q3) I do agree that these people should get the credits as much as the performers. In my opinion, being behind the stage is a much tougher job than on being the stage. When we enjoy a certain performance, we would mainly look into the performers. However, do we ever take a step back and think about the work has been put in to make the performance enjoyable? As a student helper before, I find it difficult to help out to host an event or a performance. Eventhough it is an enjoyable and meaningful experience, it sure can get me stress out at times. Especially when the deadline of the performance is just right around the corner, you would feel worried and anxious. As much as the performers gets the credits, I believe that the people who work behind the scene should too.

2) If i am on a losing side, i would motivate myself not to give up and continue to work to achieve my goals. Because i think that when you are at the losing side, you will feel depressed about it and keep thinking that nothing is gonna worked. Of course nothing is working well if you never done anything you just feel depressed on and on. For example, there was a time when i failed badly for all the subjects during secondary 3, and yes it was quite sad about it. So to put in effort for all the subjects, i went for consultation with my friends. I put away all the distractions and was able to focus in my studies. After all the efforts i have put in, my results become better. Even if i cannot motivate myself, there is friend beside me who always encourages me and would put in all her time to teach me.
3) I agree that winning is not important. Everyone likes to win but sometimes winning is not everything. For example, there would be people who are very competitive during sports activities, whenever they lose, they would be so angry about it or even cry. If you think that winning is important , it is actually not true because when a person wins they do not know what their mistake is or improve to become better. Winning is just to make us feel good as you had succeed in whatever you did.
Mrs Leong
Good that you have supported your answer with an experience that you have gone through.

(1)in what ways have your family’s shopping habits changed in recent times?
: my families shopping habits have changed for the worst in recent times because of online shopping. my family buys our furniture from an popular online store taobao as it is cheaper than buying it in real life and we don't have to carry the items back from the store, online shopping enables options like delivering directly to your doorstep and having the person over to assemble it. My family buys clothing from a lot of different stores as it is much more convenient than going out and there are much more variety. My family has spend thousands of dollars on online shops as the things are often cheaper but there's always an impulsive buy.

(2)How far would you agree that much of the shopping we do is unnecessary?
i strongly agree that much of the shopping we do is unnecessary, as many of a time it is an impulsive buy, my family has many useless tools in the kitchen like an apple slicer, pizza slicer, onion skin remover and bread shaper. these are only a handful of things that my family has bought online, apple slicing, pizza slicing and onion skin remover can be done with simply a knife instead of having those tools. clothing from online shops cannot be returned most of the time, so there are many clothes that are too big, too small or the material differs from the description. which results in us having to donate it and a waste of money.

2) Yes, i would like to work as a vet because as an animal lover, l want to help the suffering animals and to have the ability to cure the health of the animals worldwide. For example, in Australia there is bushfires , it had kills a lot of animals living in the wildlife. The bushfires had destroyed the animals’s homes and it causes the animals to have nowhere to live in and some of the animals were died due to the depletion of food and shelter. It was quite sad to see animals living in the wildlife without any homes. That was when i decided to become a vet to save them and give them a place to live in. If they do not have shelter to live in, the animals might become extinct and our future generation might not have the chance to see these cute animals anymore.
3) I agree that we all have the responsibility for the animals of the world, especially those that are endangered because animals become endangered was due to the human being. For example, ships spilling oil in the sea that would kills marine lifes , people throwing rubbish everywhere and even dump plastic bags into the sea. This is totally we, humans responsibility because turtles in the sea would take it as their food and ended up suffocate and led to death. We should have the responsibility to keep the environment clean for everyone to live in. If we do not start doing it now, the world would turned into an unhealthy place to live in.
Mrs Leong
Good answers & nice to give examples.

I love the feel of adrenaline when it comes to winning in sports events, i find it very fun to be in the moment of these kind of events

- i would be more positive and tell myself that it is okay to make mistakes and lose and to keep on trying. Not everyone is perfect, everybody makes mistakes and for that, it is okay. The thought of not winning would motivate me to only try harder to achieve that goal

- I agree with this statement. Eg when you are doing some form of art and if someone before do a pencil case u could use your creative talent to make a portable pencil case by adding more materials making it look attractive and also fascinating to look at it . Sometime in the work life, you would need Creative talent to invent new product to be able to sell it . And I remember it that both of my favourite players shook my hand hence it made this sport event very memorable

3)I strongly agree that encouraging sport in school would be more important than promoting competitions for Top Athletes .

2) Yes,i do know some old people who keep fit and active. For example, my Grandmother, in order to keep herself healthy and active , every morning she would go to the nearby community club to have a dance before going to the supermarket to buy groceries. She sign up for free lessons at the community club and she attends the lessons every weekend. The lessons were being taught by an experienced Instructor and sometimes i would join her on weekends too. Not only she can keep herself fit, she can also make new friends . This can helps her to become more active and boost her communication skills as both my parents and i are busy with our work and studies. So it can helps her to go out often during her free time, to play chess with her friends. If they do not go out for a walk or do simple household chores, they might suffer from dementia and any other health problems. I think that even if old people does not like going out, they should do simple exercises at home or even do household chores like sweeping the floor. Sweeping the floor is also a moving action and this can also help them to keep fit and active at the same time.
3) I agree with the view that it is good for young people and old people to do things together, so that old people can catch up with the latest trends and technology that young people are using or doing nowadays. For example, i help my Grandmother to sign up free lessons for computer at the community club, this allows her to know how to use the different functions when buying online things. After teaching her for a month, her memory is improving. When old people and young people do the same things, they will share the same topics to talk about , so old people would not feel left out or think that they are useless. It helps them to bond together and form good relationships as some teenager might find them irritating when teaching them.

Sometimes, they would try to lose weight by not eating for a few days to maintain a nice figure like the influencers. Without them, films and shows wouldn't be so successful. Such as a writer, they write the storyline of the show and the lines of what the actors would say. Also, the producer ensures that the set if prepared for the actors to shoot and for movies they are given a budget to use on props, they are also the ones that call the cast to the set.

They are the main player behind doing all the work and performers are out there to showcase what they are and what the people behind been doing. A performance may take 1hr of audience time but behind the scene the people may take 1 month to prepare the performance. Therefore,i feel both performers and people who work behind the scenes should deserve the same amount of credits as they work like a pair without either of them the performance won’t exist.

Having confidence would allow us to strive better and go further. However confidence is not the only key that lead to success, things like perseverance and independence would also allow us tobe one step closer to success. Therefore,i agree that confidence is one main key point to lead to success
Mrs Leong
Good answer. You have also pinpointed other factors essential for success. Perhaps can elaborate on them.

Me and my others friends knew that she was going to have a cca competition after school , so we stayed back and when to watch her play for our school. We knew that it was going to be one of her last cca competitions since it was our graduating year so we wanted to make it special by being there for her. However during the competition we were mesmerised by the sportsmanship by both teams.

3) I think that this is very important as the students grow up they would learn to appreciate sports. And some might even find it as an amazing stress outlet as nowadays student are under allot of stress from their exams.

Everybody likes to win but sometime winning isn’t just everything and it is okay to lose. When your are always winning ,it is hard to improve and realise your flaws as you will think highly of yourself.Whereas when you lose, you look up to people and realise your mistakes and tries to improve it.Winning isn’t everything as it is not the most important in your life. There will be other chances, games and competition for you to win.You don't have to win everything to feel good about yourself but you should feel good knowing that because you did your very best with what you were given and receive these results.
Mrs leong
A good detailed answer explaining how losing can help us to better our performance the next time .

2)I might learn a lot of different thing from a live performance like, we can learn how to be resourceful. During a performance not everything can go the way you want.Sometimes ,somethings may go wrong in the middle of the performance like power going out, singing wrong lyric and dancing to wrong move. However after this disaster happen you will find effective ways to deal with it.
3)I agree.Usually after a performance, the performer and the director are normally the main people who are praised or credited. However behind the scenes, you have many people working to ensure that everything go smoothly, make up artist and stylist doing their magic so that performers look good and presentable on stage choreographer working hard to ensure that the choreography is perfectly executed by the performers. Thus,we should never underestimate to amount of hard work given by the people who work behind the scene and should give them the credit and praise they deserve.

You would also learn that with out effort you won't be doing a good job . You would also learn that you should never give up early .

3) I do agree with this as they do put inas much effort in making the performance memorable for the audience. For example in concerts there are people managing the lights and sound in an artist microphone and setting the atmosphere to the sound of a song through the lights . Moreover if the microphone or if there's an technical problem they do get in trouble. So they do deserve credit too.

1) i would enjoy playing an energetic sport like hockey or any other energetic sport as it makes me curious on how to play it and it makes me curious on what type of muscle group this sport needs the most as different sports needs different strengths. and if i were to unexpectedly fall in love with that sport, it can be my hobby and i can get better at it or get myself involved in competitions. another thing i would enjoy is that it helps me stay fit even when im lazy to. example when im lazy, i dont move around a lot and sleep most of the time but when it comes to training, i have to force myself to get up to be a better player and to be as fit as my teammates. if i were to slack, there would be a difference in my fitness level compared to my teammates and i wouldnt want to let them down.
3) i agree that winning is not always the most importing as you may lose but gain something more than if you were to win. sometimes losing makes us reflect more. not only what happened during that moment but also outside the match. for example, how much effort does my team put in during training. sometimes winning makes one feel very complacent and tends to show off to others which is not what the losing team will like to see. losing also helps one to get better not only in that sport but also in their thinking/ mindset/ setting a better goal for the next time.
Mrs Leong
Yes, definitely when we lose we are forced to reflect on our actions & mistakes so that we can improve on ourselves the next time.

3)Winning can give you a sense of satisfaction and it will give you a sense of pride and build egoism. However, being on the losing side is much more beneficial if you were to look at it from a positive side, there is honestly so much you can learn about failure or if you have lost. There is a saying i am sure most people are aware of and it is known as what i am about to quote "Experience is the greatest teacher". This quote is simple yet so comprehensive that if you were to fail at something you want to achieve, it is simply not because you are not good at performing it well it is because that way does not work to succeed. Not only do you get a motivation to push on and perservere, you find ways that does not work which makes your success more accurate and gives you a sense of purpose and accomplishment.

2) If i were on the losing side, i would embrace it and work on areas that require improvement! There is a saying where "humble in winning, gracious in defeat" I will stay persistent and work hard, victory is definate for those who work hard, so i will put my hopes on that and work towards it
Mrs Leong:
You have given a comprehensive answer, Pranav.

yes definately. When a human is in danger? There are so many treatments and care to save the humans life. As such, how about when an animal is in danger? Who is there for them? We humans burn forests, many of the animals habitual space and their homes get ruined, because of human activities. They are also living creaturs like us, they have blood, they can sense pain, they can sense what causes them harms nevertheless, animals have every same aspect of a human being other than having and intelligent life. This world is not only ours, its theirs too! So i would do my best to be a vet because becoming a vet allows me to help animals, atleast pushes me to try my best to allow animals to be in less pains then what us humans do to these beautifu creatures.

3) Each one of us have a responsibility for every living creature and organism in this world. Humans are the only evident sign of intelligable creature on this planet. We are the elite and the smartest of the world. However that does not give us the right to treat humans with care only. Technology has evolved so much ever since our existence, there are so many cures for many diseases for us, but only us? What abut the animals suffering because of our agricultural activities and our human activities? it legitamately wipes out their homes and habitats beacause we need the materials and resources for our needs, but we being so selfish do not care about what these poor animals who are suffering are going through. Every human has a responsibility, starting from young children must be educated on these topics, with modifications to the explicit content of the animals sufferings so that is would not emotionally scar them but it will allow the to be educated. The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow, so this is important, education is the solution for environmental problems. Governments should implement environment saving programmes for citizens to take part in which allows one to understand the importance of saving the environment.
Mrs Leong
Good sensible answers -well-explained & elaborated on.

As schools narrow their focus on improving performance on math and reading standardized tests, they have greater difficulty justifying taking students out of the classroom for experiences that are not related to improving those test scores. Schools are either attending fewer field trips or shifting toward field trips to places they know students already enjoy. When testing is over, schools are often inclined to take students on “reward” field trips to places like amusement parks, bowling alleys, and movie theaters.

The nature of culturally enriching field trips is that they are often to places that students don’t yet know they might enjoy. In a previous study, we examined the impact of field trips to an art museum. We found significant benefits in the form of knowledge, future cultural consumption, tolerance, historical empathy, and critical thinking for students assigned by lottery to visit Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art . In the current study, we examine the impact of assigning student groups by lottery to see high-quality theater productions of Hamlet or A Christmas Carol. This is the first randomized experiment to discover what students get out of seeing live theater. Our results are generally similar to those found in the previous study. Culturally enriching field trips have significant educational benefits for students whether they are to see an art museum or live theater. Among students assigned by lottery to see live theater, we find enhanced knowledge of the plot and vocabulary in those plays, greater tolerance, and improved ability to read the emotions of others.

It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to the performance as some of the performance are learning this as their hobby hence they have a job in the morning. having a lot of workload can sometimes be stressful and tiring yet after that they would train for the performance which shows that they have a lot of dedication to the performance.

Working alone can be very scary as i am a introvert person. however, the people there were very nice and kind to me which makes me come out of my comfort zone. this teaches me how to get the courage to work alone and learning how to communicate with them. it was a pleasant experience of working alone.

3. i agree that having confidence in myself is one of the main keys to achieving any kind of success. For example, my grandmother still keep active by following youtube videos and doing exercises shown by the grandson even though she is old and has dementia. I believe that it is important for old people to keep fit and active. With old age, the body becomes weaker and more prone to illnesses. Keeping fit and active can help to keep these illnesses at bay.

3. Yes I agree to a large extent that young and old people should do things together. Doing things together is the perfect opportunity for the young and old people to overcome generation gap and bond with each other. The old people are wise and have a lot of knowledge they can impart to the young. The young have energy and can cheer up the days of old people.

It is a malay musical instrument that has a specific note. Hence my friends and I need to work together to create music by paying close attention to our teacher who is the conductor. We need to know when to shake our musical instruments so that we can sound coordinated. it was a fun and memorable experience.

3. I think that people can be taught to be creative. This is because sometimes people just need to learn how to use a medium to be creative. Being creative is based on the human's ability to create. I believe that every person has the ability to create something to express themselves. All they need to be creative is to find the appropriate medium to express their own creativity. We have different mediums to express creativity such as music, dance and art.
Mrs Leong
Good to include examples in your answer

2. My family's shopping habits have changed from physical stores to online. This is because online shopping is more convenient as the goods are delivered right to our doorsteps. This is the result of globalisation. Technology have improved to the point where we can access shops on our phones and make instant payment. Another thing is transportation. Transportation has become so efficient such that deliveries of goods and services can be completed within a few days to a week.

3. It depends. Some people have habits of hoarding things especially in times of pandemic. This is because they are afraid of stores closing and of stocks running out. There are also people who likes to collect things hence there are unnecessary purchases. For people with sufficient income, a lot of purchases are more wants than needs. However, for people with insufficient income, a lot of purchases are needs rather than wants. Such needs include food, water and electricity. These basic needs are necessary purchases as they are needed for living.

It took a while for us to become quieten so that we can listen to the instructions to be given. When the horn is sounded, everyone started running. Towards the ending point, everyone wanted to win the medal and hence they all rush towards the finishing line.

3. I agree to a large extent that encouraging sports is more important than promoting competitions for top athletes. This is because everyone benefits when sports is encouraged. These benefits include health benefits and social benefits such as making friends. Sports should be available for everyone to enjoy and not just for top athletes.

Without confidence you would not dare to do anything and it will continues on. Example, when attending badminton competition, it is important to keep your heads up and encouraged yourself that ‘you can do it’.
