Michel-it is hot and I am still not used to it. Food rations are getting low but will last us another week or two after looking but we will live. Civilization will be in eyesight in a few days.

Omni - It is an exciting first day. I can not wait to get started. It will be a hard journey this I know but I feel that this will be a time that will remain in my memory forever. The camels are packed and I am ready to head off. It is now the afternoon and I can´t see where we started. We have to find a stable place to set up camp. It is so cold! I do not understand how a place so warm in the day could get so cold at night! I do not think I will get used to this and it is only the first day!

Day 27

Omni - Last night I heard some rustling outside and today we found a snake hiding in our bags. We were lucky to get it out of there without it biting us. We will have to be more careful in the future. Our cooler is starting to fail us we will have to look or other alternatives like cactus juice. I hope the camels do not mind warm water or cactus juice for that matter.

Mike- I see civilization is in eyesight another hour or so and we will be there. This trip be hot, miserable, trying, and boring. The only thing you see is sand and sand dunes and the occasional snake, bug, and more sand.
