Not everyone is perfect, you can't always have someone who is perfect, because we aren't perfect as well. We shouldn't expect these qualities from someone because if we really like a person, we should love them the way they are as a person. But these qualities are important because they are the base of your relationship. "What makes a good boyfriend is someone who is faithful, trustworthy, supportive, and completely honest with you. I feel like those are all qualities we look for in a guy but not everyone can have all of those qualities. Even for guys, this is what most of them look for in a girl."

These qualities are important because you don't want to be with someone who tells you lies or hides things from you. You want someone you can trust and be comfortable around. When you first start dating someone these promises are talked about or even shown from the beginning all the way through your relationship. Having trust is a promise you both make to each other. Being faithful to one another is another promise that is made. It is not verbally said but mentally, both sides of the relationship know that they are promising the other that they will be loyal. As both you and your partner grow, so do your promises and the qualities you both find in each other that you posses. You want to be able to have a connection with someone and be able to tell them everything. In fact, some relationships start off as friendships.
