Rise of the Nazi Party

On March 5, 1933. Hitler and the Nazi Party can into power via the election. They won by about 43.9% of votes. With this new power over Germany, they plan on using to eliminate the Jewish population.

Night of Broken Glass

Throughout November 9 & 10th, Kristallnacht or "Night of Broken Glass" was when the Nazi Party destroyed the homes and businesses of Jewish communities.

Ghettos

In October of 1940, German officials made it so that the Jewish residents of Warsaw had to move into tightly packed, unsanitary, disease fested areas known as "Ghettos". These were designed to segregate and dehumanize the Jewish residents.

Nuremberg

Named after Nuremberg, the first place these laws were invented, the Nuremberg laws stated that anyone who was not "purely German" will have no political rights and will not veiwed as a German citizen.

"Final Solution"

In 1942, Wannsee conference was held to propose the "Final Solution". This would be a physical act of eliminating European Jews by committing mass murder.

Punishment

Just in a few days before the surrender of Germany, a set of trails were held to punish 24 Nazi officials for the pain they caused to the Jewish residents. Of the 199 defendants, 161 were tried and convicted. And the other 37 were given the death sentence.
