(1.) dia de los muertos is basically day of the dead when you celebrate the ones who have passed, i don't really celebrate it because i dont't know how to explain it. My family doesn't so i don't really know why i should at the moment.

(2.) honestly death is normal its apart of life, we will all die eventually, and i think when people die either they go to heaven or hell.

(3.) my grandmother from my dad's side of the family died, when i was at the age of 4 i couldn't go to el salvador to see her so i never really met her. And i have heard a lot of stories about her from a lot of my family members, and from what ive heard she was really important to a lot i know that she would have loved to see the family my father has raised.

(4.) i don't know, when i die i would want to leave a type of legacy, and to be remembered for my accomplishments and the things i have done for those around me. 1. Dia De Los Muertos is a day where we celebrate the lives of those who have passed away. I celebrate it with those who have others that passed away but when it comes to just me, i dont celebrate because i dont have anyone close to me that i know that has passed.
2. Death comes with a lot, how, why and/or who, so i dont have any specific feeling about it besides tragic. I havent thought about what happens after death but i would believe their spirit just moves on at some point.
3. I dont have anyone special in mind but if my cat died it would be one of the most tragic death i would experience. My cat is important because hes always the one by my side even if its just a cat, i could hug him anytime. I would start grieving to show i cared but also do something like get things that remind me of him, pictures or his paw print on something to show that i remember him.
4. If today was my last day living i think others would remember me as someone they cared for since ive been there for a lot of my friends to support, especially mentally. I would not be satisfied with the life i lived because i still have not gotten to do what i want since im barely getting to the point of being able to do that like traveling or going to more concerts.

1) Dia Los Muertos is the day of the dead where people celebrate the dead. I dont celebrate it because my family usually doesn't have time for it.

1. Dia De Los Muertos is a holiday that is meant to celebrate your deceased loved ones. It is mostly celebrated in latinoamerica and in different ways in other cultures. I do celebrate Dia De los Muertos. I celebrate it because it is really important to me and my family to honor our loved ones that have passed away, we make an altar and put pictures up of all of them. We also put ofrendas which is things that they really liked on the altar. Such as favorite food, drink, etc. and on Dia De Los muertos they come and take the ofrenda spiritually.
2. I feel like death is perceived as negative and bad because of european colonization. Our native ancestors believed that death was a passage to the next world or the "other world". I have thought about what happens to people after death and I'm not really sure what to believe.
3. They are important because they were very special to me and my family. We do lots of things to show that we still care and remember them, and one of those things is celebrating Dia De Los Muertos.

i don't celebrate dia de los muertos reason why because im african american and we don't have that in our culture. Death to me is normal. And since i'm christian i believe after death can end up in eternal happiness and love in Heaven or Suffering and torment in Hell. Dia De Los Muertos is a day celebrated in hispanic culture as a day of remembering loved ones that passed away with festivals and celebrations.

I don't really celebrate it (In the sense of having a full on celebration and feast), but I do use the day to remember lost ones.

Being preoccupied with death is something I wouldn't think of, as then you're just too preoccupied with something you have instead of something you don't. I believe that dying isn't a permanent end for someone; yet it's just the beginning on what could happen with the world; whether good or bad you still live on within people, so I think focusing on your life while you have it is a better thing than thinking of where people go when they die.

I show care in the people i've lost with my opinions and actions i've taken. There is time I also take to remembering them, that is all.

I think people will remember me for who I am, not of what i've done, I don't have regrets for what I have gone through, and I have just gone with the flow of what life throws at me, I wouldn't want to see others see a day like this with sadness; but instead with happiness.

El Dia De Los Muertos is the day we celebrate those that we love who have passed away, El Dia De Los Muertos is the day are loved ones come around to enjoy what we put for them in their altar. (foods and things they enjoyed). I celebrate it because i have loved ones who have passed away.
Growing up i was alway curious about everything especially death and the world, I always think about what will happen when we all pass away, i think about how ppl feel, what they see. I really would like to know but we cant until it happens to us.
My step-dad passed away a year ago this month, i met him when i was 7/6 years old. he was all i knew as a father figure. I lost my father and my bestfriend he was one of the best people i knew. he will always live in me and his memory will live forever within me.

We all honor the dead, even if english funerals are usually in black clothing and a day for mourning while hispanics celebrate it with joy and celebration

This lesson was alright, I just feel like it could have put a bit more focus on Dia De Los Muertos itself than pointing out differences between americans and hispanics over a day that's about dead people, also peardeck could have done the same function as padlet tbh

My family and i celebrate Dia de los Muertos by making a ofrenda/altar with pictures of our loved ones. We also like to add cempasuchil flowers which are iconic flowers for dia de los Muertos, we put bread and other things our loved ones liked when they were alive. 1. Dia de Los Muertos is a day were family's celebrate loved ones who died. I celebrate this cus of my family, but that's it. I don't like to celebrate it because it makes me sad.
2. I'm not scared of it. Death is normal. I feel like people die and then they are born again on a different dimension I don't know why, but thats what I think.
3. I haven't lost anyone who I really known or that I am close to. My aunt lost her sister, so she celebrates Dia de Los Muertos. To celebrate her sister she makes an ofrenda for her. She will put LED lights, candles, and something special she places on the ofrenda is a piece of her sister's clothing.

4. I think people would remember me because of my humor, caring, my attitude, my boldness, and my vibe. I wouldn't be satisfied with my life because I want to actually grow up. I would like to become an entrepreneur like my cousin who tints windows of cars.
