Corona Virus Disease 2019 also known as COVID-19 is a respiratory disease caused by a novel corona virus designated SARS-CoV-2. This type of illness is so dangerous that can lead you to death. A lot of people are scared of it because they might get infected. So for now, going out is not safe for everyone.

LET'S PREVENT THE SPREADING OF COVID-19

For now, the only ways to prevent the virus are: sanitize your hands, do not go out, disinfect, wear your masks, avoid contact and avoid people. If you are experiencing fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose and difficulty in breathing, you must go to the nearest hospital and have a check-up. This time, we should value our health. We must take care ourselves to keep safe of Corona Virus. Let us take this crisis seriously.

HOW DO WE PROTECT OUR HOME FROM THE CORONAVIRUS?

During the first day of COVID-19, our family had no clue on what to do and not to do during the pandemic. Thanks to our frontliners who guided and helped us to public safety protocols. In our home, we never let anyone go out without their own alcohol, face shield and face mask. We always make sure that our house was clean and if ever there would be a visitor we do the social distancing protocol.

WHAT HAPPENED DURING THE PANDEMIC?

Last December 2019, COVID-19 was scattered around Wuhan, China. Thousands of people in China was reportedly confirmed infected that time. The said disease spread out internationally. But, how did the disease introduced? Some says that Corona Virus is the effect by eating an exotic foods. The virus that the wild animals have was transmitted to the humans. Some also says that the illness was made by a certain people and they also made its cure. No one can say about the real story behind of it. We are only relying on news nor rumours. As of now, the top 3 countries that have most numbers of COVID-19 patients are; China, Italy and Iran. They reported that many people do not listen to their government, so that they have the largest numbers of patients.

WHAT DID OUR OFFICIALS DO?

In the first month of COVID-19, the cases only risen up due to lack of knowledge towards the said virus. In order to control the increasing cases of coronavirus our community officials had decided to have a curfew from 6 in the evening until 5 in the morning. The municipality officials had set a strict schedule for people in different baranggays. In order to enter the public market the people should have their quarantine pass, which was given by our baranggay officials(only one from the family could have a quarantine pass). The municipality officials even provided isolation facilities for those people with no means of isolating theirselves in their own homes (https://www.facebook.com/100938218219409/videos/1003257036771765/). The temporary solution were effective as the number of CoVid positive patients started to decrease, but it is not enough to flatten the curve.
