The article makes a valid point about how schools should be tolerant of other cultures. EL teachers should inform the teachers of their students including any level of education, behavior and family background. Different cultures that come to school districts are just one example of how educators can make a positive impact for students. During this progressive time, it is essential for educators to accept students self identity. Educators might not agree with gender identity, but should be supportive of the child. A public school teacher is there to teach, not ridicule.
