You also need to see the bigger picture and be able to focus on the organization rather than yourself.
Finally, you need to be able to develop and culminate relationships that help you learn and makes you see the business as a whole.

After reading this article what I realized is – we had too much meetings rather than execution of work. Although these meetings were important, few agendas were very critical for defining the flow of operations but the frequency of sitting for a meeting was unnecessary and very elaborate whereas I could have been and should have been more concise and objective oriented. To have a better and effective business communication it is pivotal to avoid what I previously experienced. Secondly, being data centric rather than subjective not only persuades top management to understand your perceptive but also provides a clearer picture to subordinates on execution of a task. To possess strategic thinking or to be prove ourselves as a strategic thinker, working with data points is crucial. This not only specifies the problem at hand, but solutions to problem areas also becomes easy to articulate. The more problems or errors pop up, the more pressure it starts generating over the individual. Thinking, Adapting, Learning, Listening and then Executing should be a step-by-step guide for thinking strategically. So I would prefer taking these methodology to keep the communication more clear and effective and my peers or supervisor will get the output without any grey areas.

I have faced situation where the demand was greater than my capacity and I might not have reacted in a way as denoted by the article. After reading this publication I realized I need to perform the following tasks:

· Not be aggressive to my peers or subordinates when I am under a lot of pressure. Rater be data oriented, figure out the core problem and provide solutions on these areas of repairs.

· Guide the co-workers to a solution with a strategic plan, avoid being subjective towards a problem.

· Always keep the contents of a meeting/agenda concise and precise. Making secondary researches to support the core agenda should avoided if not possible at all.

There are a few other pointers which I have taken as a learning experience but the core teaching and adaptation is mostly focused on the above teachings I received from this particular article.
