I have research into public information films for example Stupid Git,John Altman which is about drink driving and how stupid it is to do so think before you drink and drive pretty much sums it up. As we are making a public Information film about the student voice im going to base my idea around this film because I think it’s a short and snappy video but it gets the point across

Learner Voice & What It Is

Learner voice is the citizenship education as well as initiatives like Every Child Matters, Youth Matters and learner involvement strategies. They are all important for young people so then get their voice and their opinions out into the world of promoting education politics. This gives young people a chance to build their voice and their confidence, self-esteem and motivation skills and it also encourages them to develop interests in current events. This is an important way of creating their citizenship skills and encouraging them to take on matters than concern them and the other people surrounding them.

Corporate Videos

There are different types of corporate videos for example DVD'S,high defintion video and streaming video or other media and they are used by a company corporation or organisation. they are aimed at employees and B2B (Business to business) environment theese videos include products,company promotions and can also include staff training videos.

Examples: Instruction and safety videos, Live and on-demand webcasting & many more

We have been told to make a public information film that could be used as a corporate video just for this college so it will only be shown to students and staff

for my project i have been asked to make a public information film about the learner voice, our client is from southport college and they work with the learner voice. the video i am going to make is to try and get students at southport college to speak up and tell the college there ideas,opinions and views on things that work in southport college and to get the students to think about becoming a student representitive

the learner voice is trying to achieve what the students want,they also raise awareness for charity's for example at southport college they have a information board with information about 'children in need', the poppy appeal. the learner voice can also have competitions, there is a current competition at southport college entitled 'Fifa 14' and this has a cash prize for the winner,this then helps the learner voice get popular and helps students to socialize with others. they also include students to help out with changes or ideas that have been suggested for example the smoking shelters/facility's

Idea

the idea behind our public information film is a clown with a sad face,popped balloons and he sees a student rep and they blow he's balloons up for him and show him the clown course they do at southport college so its basically saying that southport college is for anyone and everyone can fit in

public information films are short persuasive films shown by the government during breaks in television programs,they are usually focused on important topics like smoking,drink driving they also usually have the media term SHOCK TACTICS this is when your audience is made to be shocked and helps them understand the issue an example could be the pictures on cigarette packages which show what happens if you carry on smoking
