This concept of including well-being as a major factor in the success of students and as grown ups gives a very human dimension to looking at education. I think this concept could greatly impact on their will to learn and to thrive as people. It also shows how important it is to have this responsibilty of living a meaningful life in which we can be resiliant members of society. Our sense of belonging and commitment to ourselves, family, and work place is something that has a great impact on us and the fact that schools could enamble people from all walks of life is an extraordinary feat.

I have never had the opportunity to examine the phenomenon of wellbeing. I was previously unaware of the multitude of factors that influence it. I was surprised at how even the smallest details or events that don't seem to affect children and young people can have an impact on their wellbeing and performance. I found it interesting, for example, how government spending can have an impact. For instance, how it varies from something as obvious as policies affecting housing and community amenities to, for example, those related to religion.
