Top Ten ISIS Ranking & Explanation:

1. Abu Omar al-Baghdadi. Without this man, ISIS would have never been created. He had the idea to change the former name of their terrorist group to ISIS.
2. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. This man had led ISIS in the early 2010s and claimed himself as the "Caliph, or the ultimate islamic leader."
3. Technology of the weaponry of ISIS. All this weaponry has helped ISIS claim all their land in the first place, without this, they wouldn't be powerful.
4. The government of Syria and Iraq backed ISIS. This is very important as ISIS gained access to a lot of power with their help.
5. The majority of Syria has been in possession of ISIS. This is important because ISIS has been very popular due to the fact that they been in control of Syria for a very long time.
6. Oil is in the possession of ISIS. Oil is a vital asset to ISIS. Every country wants oil and if even a bit of it is in the hands of a terrorist group its important.
7. Idea to spread the word of Islam in a radical way. I didn't think this was that important. Even though their basis is on Islam, they do it in such a radical way that they aren't really practicing Islam correctly.
8. Arabic is the main language of ISIS. This was just a language that the region spoke so I didn't think that this was that important on the list.
9. Mosul, Tikrit, and Raqqa were cities for ISIS. This was important but I felt as if with their power and strength they should've been able to take these cities.
10. 23% GDP reduction of cities in Iraq and Syria by ISIS. Relating to the achievement above, they should've been able to reduce the GDP of the land because they in control of it.

MAP
A: On July 1, 2016 a café in Dhaka was attacked when gunmen started shooting people. 20 hostages and 2 police officers were killed.
Human Rights Violation: This was a violation of the right to "social order so we can enjoy these rights (Zen Pencils)." By attacking a café, they targeted the normal way of life, thus violating peoples' right of social order.
B: On June 28, 2016 three armed (with bombs and guns) terrorists killed 45 people, and wounded 230 at an airport in Istanbul. ISIS claimed to be behind the attack.
Human Rights Violation: Right to life, freedom, and safety. Another violation would be the right to respect other's rights. The attackers violated this because they were not respecting the people's right to safety and travel.
C: On July 3, suicide bombers caused death tolls to rise when they attacked the busy, shopping part of Karrada in Baghdad. Later that night, a car bomb went off near a Ramadan celebration.
Human Rights Violation: This violated the right to belong to a religion. This attack (and A and B) all happened during Ramadan, a holy month for Muslims. ISIS attacked and targeted this timeframe due to the religious practices of the Muslims.
D: On Bastille Day in France (July 14) in 2016, a man drove a truck at high speed into a crowd. The crowd was gathered in Nice by the water to watch fireworks. The driver drove for almost a mile, hitting and running over people the whole time.
Human Rights Violation: The right to freedom of expression was violated because France was targeted for their "western ways," and part of who France is is celebrating Bastille Day. By attacking during a country's celebration they infringed on the people's freedom of expression.
E: Sufi mosque in Egypt was attacked by ISIS supporters, and 300 people were killed. Ahmed Abu Khattala was found guilty.
Human Rights Violation: This was a violation of the right to practice any religion. The Sufi mosque was attacked, thus targeting the religion or the people practicing it.
F: In 2012 there was an attack in Benghazi, which killed the U.S. ambassador and 3 three U.S. guards. Ahmed Abu Khattala, (mentioned previously for supporting ISIS during the Egypt mosque attack) was found to be behind the attack of the American consulate.
Human Rights Violation: The right of being able to travel to another country because they targeted and attacked the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi.
G: On March 22, an attack was launched on Brussels, Belgium. Zaventem airport and then the city's metro system were bombed on the same day.
Human Rights Violation: This violates the right for adequate standard of living for people and their families. The citizens of Brussels were having a normal day going through their daily routines when they were denied their adequate standards of living because they were attacked and bombed.

Isis is overwhelmingly bad. There are many things that make this statement true. They publicly behead people that they deem heretics. Isis has killed thousands of people in different ways. They bomb buildings, not only killing people, but also destroying history. They broadcast executions to incite fear in their enemies. Another way that they kill people is with suicide bombings. Isis has no sense of decent behavior. It was very difficult, almost impossible, to think of anything about Isis that could possibly be considered good.
