Most proud of graduating high school and going to college
Her mother was really laid back and she was also her father figure for the majority of her life. Growing up without a father figure doesn't bother her that much. She still wishes the relationship between her and her father was stronger. The greatest influence in her life is her mother, who raised 3 kids and worked at the same time.

Ulysses Campos appears as a regular student at North Lake Community College, yet when Ulysses opens his heart and puts into light his life, he tells of a life that is worth sharing and learning from. Ulysses Campos described himself as “..kind, humble, understanding, compassionate…” Ulysses is mixed with venezuelan, mexican, and possibly other Latin-American roots. His mother came from a financially wealthy home, while his father came from a financially poor home. Regardless of their economic living standard, both of his parents sought a better life. Subsequently, they decided to leave their home countries, and travel to the land of the free,  the nation under God, United States of America. His parents met in the USA and had Ulysses’ siblings and him. Ulysses was the last child and throughout life afflictions and burdens, he has had Jesus’ grace to overcome obstacles in life, like poverty. During Ulysses’ childhood he attended a Christian Baptist church. He had seen his father get deported several times back to his country during his childhood.  His father being the head of the household brought home the bread. When his father was extradited Ulysses’ family lost their home. A long process in which the Campos learned many valuable life lessons and wisdom. Although his trial has come to pass, Ulysses has not forgotten of those that have been laced in his life during his trial. Like Aunt Theresa, he visits her occasionally with a grateful heart on her love to Ulysses in his trial. She would read him the Bible, take care of his life necessities, and more. Now, Ulysses attends Northlake, works a job at Best buy, enjoys playing sports and running. Overall, Ulysses says his only goal and plan in life is to be happy.

Damian is a very young part time student at North Lake he was a timid person and has found transformation through basketball. As a High school student he described himself as a non-active person. He lived a unhealthy lifestyle and based himself as a "snack junky" and was consumed by potato chips and chocolates. He enjoyed watching Japanese animated cartoons because of the story lines in these action series.The consequences carried over to his weight and he found himself on the couch often just watching t.v. However he did have other alternatives as an active band player and played the trumpet although he enjoyed being in band he was in it more for the social aspect. He regrets not having been involved with athletics through his high school career. That was the Damian from the past, the determined person that I interviewed was not that of a inactive person. He was ecstatic in explaining his new active life style. His peers invited him to often play basketball and this was where the transformation took place, the rush from playing and the competition brought out the Damian that looks up to Stephen Curry from the Golden State Warriors. He found much motivation from this player to push himself to be like this idol. A basketball player that has a unique style of playing against much taller men in stature. He also finds motivation by another active successful advocate for the person he is today "Arnold Schwarzenegger"  He described the terminator as someone who has a strong work ethic and as successful in life a man who came from Austria out of nothingness. Damien works at Kroger part time as a cashier. He is a member of a gym and lives that fit lifestyle working out five days out of the week and choosing his meals for the work he puts in. As he no longer is consumed by his past addictions he chooses cheat days to get passed his urges of chips and chocolates. Damien believes in good values as his parents raised him with strong views. His parents are from Mexico. He however is from Dallas and has been raised in Irving and has lived his entire life here in Texas. He is a adrenaline seeker and hopes to travel to Japan and NY sometime. He does not care for politics yet. Life is easy for him at the moment.

Richard when you first see him seems like an old college student. In reality he is a family man with a wife and a 14 year old son. Born in Dallas he is of Hispanic roots with both of his parents being born in Mexico. His dad is someone he looks up to because of how much of a hard working person he is. I learned that she's only 20 years old, but she has lived in Nepal for 19 of those years and only recently came to the United States. She originally had wanted to be a doctor from a young age, and told me she could have followed that field in Nepal, she surprised me by saying she had switched to wanting to study psychology and people's personalities and behaviors. As an international student, Asmita also informed me that she had come to the United States because the programs in her interests were more plentiful than from where she is from. She's been greatly impacted by her mom who is her most inspiring figure, but her family supports her too. She told me a story of her "cousin sister" who's been through a more harsh situation, and said "If she can do it, I can do it." Some of her hobbies are trying new foods, travelling to new places, and listening to music, especially Beyonce.
