I realized that taking this first step is the most crucial step toward achieving my goals. One of them is to give back to my community. I also realize how choosing the right career would have a significant impact on how college will progress. This allows me to not second-guess my choice and do what I've wanted to do since I was a kid. But all of these are just preparation for my ultimate life goal.

 During the closing remarks, one person stood out to me and inspired me to pursue my goal. Mr. Cruz's experience was the one that opened my eyes to our reality. Although his encounters with the government were unpleasant, he avoided falling into this trap. He stood for what was right and started an organization that benefited the community rather than just himself. I, too, want to be a part of our country's change. I, too, would like to fight for a healthcare system inclusive of all people, especially the unfortunate. I want to be someone who inspires children and does good for our country and its people. Since, in today's world, what we need most is change.
