F-Sojourner Truth was a campaigner who fought for women's right and is best known for her speech "Ain''t I a Woman?".
T- I think Claudette Colvin was very brave for what she did.

Question: Without Colvin, is it true that there would have not been Rosa Parks and Dr Martin Luther King Jr.?

Fact: Many people stood up for themselves when asked to give up their seat for a white passenger. (such as, colvin, rosa parks, etc)

Thoughts/Commentary: Colvin was extremely brave and did what was necessary to change the way of segregation. And even though not many people know of her, she has contributed and created a huge impact in the fight for African American rights

The reason why Colvin's story wasn't shared at the time was because the news of of a pregnant teen wouldn't look good because people would talk about the pregnancy and not the boycott.

Boycott: A ban that forbids relations with certain groups, cooperation with a policy, or the handling of goods.

Why did they send Colvin to jail instead of Juvenile hall?
