• Prioritize self-care: Taking care of yourself is important! Find small ways to recharge, even if it’s just a coffee break or a mindful walk.

• Find a mentor who cares: Look for someone who genuinely supports your growth and gives honest advice. This could be an academic advisor, college counselor, professor, or even a staff member from OneFuture.

• Celebrate your wins: No matter how small they seem, take a moment to acknowledge your progress and be proud of yourself.

Tips for students: join clubs, the best way to look for resources and feel welcome in college. Internships are also the best way to earn experience and money during college.

One future Coachella valley has helped me throughout my college career and has given me resources to live in my daily life, use the opportunities around you. Look for mentors who are willing to help you get the help you need and be smart about the decisions you make.

• Take advantage of school resources!!! 9 times out of 10 students don’t realize the benefits/access to resources they have at their school.

• Don’t stress yourself! Seems simple but most times we tend to get tunnel vision and focus on school rather than ourselves. A simple 15 minute break can help a lot.

• Use LinkedIn! Connect with peers in your classes, clubs, or extracurricular activities. These connections will help you build your network and professional image.

Tips for Students:

• Do not shy away from asking questions! Learning to advocate for yourself is an important and useful skill to have in college and all throughout life. Also, keep in mind the worst someone can say is "no"

• Take a break before you completely burn out! If you feel like you truly need a break, take it. Dealing with academics, personal issues, and many other things can be overwhelming so take breaks as needed!

• Find people you can relate to and learn from, it'll make college easier and fun!
