         <title>STEM Discovery Week/ April Activity Video1(A part of workshops)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>We organized STEM Workshops for the week. My students worked on a problem and then they made designs as solution of the problem. They learnt how to create 3D models on Tinkercad and they tried to create 3D models of their designs there. At the end of 3 days workshop after school, they presented their work to other friends and discussed on it together.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Because both were on the same days, combining two events,  STEM Discovery Week and Girls in ICT Day, we organized Science Street activity. Some students acted as women scientists. It was a really succesful and useful activity as there were about 550 female students in the school.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>As we had TUBİTAK Science Fair in May followed by exams, we didn't organize a project exhibition separetely. Instead, we thought that what we did for STEM during the year like STEM Workshops, teaching Tinkercad, working on 3D printer, having lessons with Web 2.0 tools, paragraphs with Augmented Reality will be parts of Science Fair Project,  so this will also be a kind of exhibition, like STEM, an integrated one. In the photo collage, yoıu see the project students. They have also attended STEM Workshops, studied Augmented Reality. In one of the projects which is about Biology and cell, cell parts were printed by our students as result of our STEM Workshops. In another one, the students are working on Tinkercad and 3D modelling and they're printing out. In another one, the students have designed a book with Augmented Reality applications. As last one in the collage, the students have designed a game in English. There are questions in the game about science including their school subjects. The aim is not testing their knowledge in other lessons. The questions were prepared in interdisciplinary approach. I just guided those students. They comprehended the natue of STEM easily.  That's why they could produce such great projects.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A Liveable World<br>However STEM does not directly include ESL (English as Second Language), We, ESL Teachers, believe that we can integrate other disciplines into our lesson but only with main points. STEM subjects can be taught in the foreign language, which is called as CLIL by most authorities. I've been teaching English through some subjects of science and scientist and I find it very useful and much more comprehensible for students. Anyway, when it comes to make a lesson plan, it was hard to prepare it at first. However, I strongly believe that it will be easier in time as more teacher get an improve comprehension of STEM, 21st century skills and innovative education.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hi! I'm an ELT teacher at a project high school in Afyonkarahisar. I really love science and I want my students to learn more about it. Last year, I founded an eTwinning project named T.E.S.L.A. (Techology, Education, Science, Life, Applications) and we got 17 European labels together with our partners. In our project, we also did some activities about scientists. So, the students in the project had a chance to learn about scientists including our valuable Turkish scientists too. We are about to build a STEM laboratory in our school. Last September I told about STEM, coding and 3D printers and our manager agreed to build a STEM laboratory and also buy a 3D printers. I want to create an active and effective laboratory and also make our other teachers learn about STEM. So, being in this project will be really great. </div>]]></description>

Sayenizde yolumuzu belirledik..." gibi sözler söylemesi, bu projenin benim açımdan en büyük başarılarındandır. Atölyeler düzenlerken kıymetli bilim adamımız Aziz Sancar ile de bağlantı kurmuştuk ve "Kızlarımız için STEM çalışmaları başlattığınızdan dolayı kendim ve ülkem adına teşekkür ederim" demişti. Aziz Sancar'dan gelen maili her sınıfta okuduğumda ve Cuma okul çıkışı törende tüm okula da okuduğumuzda kopan alkış, gözlerdeki umut ışığı yine bu projenin başarılarındandır. Önemli bir nokta daha olarak, okulumuzda 550 kız öğrenci vardı.</div>]]></description>

Within the scope of this project, many activities on STEM education are organized and trainings are carried out.<br><br></div><div>The primary aim of our project is to introduce our teachers and projectors who are members of the eTwinning community. Apart from that, the activities we plan to do will ensure that our project members are actively involved in the Scientix project. as well as the Scientix ambassadors among the members, to fulfill the tasks of dissemination. Don't worry, the others didn't feel unhappy as I made them other activities like autism and environment awareness. So, they also got certificates prepared for themselves. Fortunately, they have a unit in Biology lesson named Cell, so I could use an English paragraph named Cell and Growth to practice Present Simple Tense.
