I faced challenges while recording sounds on the street because I can never get a recording without noises. However, I think noises on the street are part of my project. Introducing the city of Melbourne to the passenger on the tram and each sounds that appears in the city deserve to be included.

We can only design a sound piece within two minutes and my first site analysis of taking a tram from Bourke st to Flinders st station is around two minutes. However, After I finished the soundscape design and test the echoes on site. I realised that sometimes the time of travelling will be over two minutes, depending on the traffic and the speed of the tram. Therefore, I decided to take out the tapping on Myki sound and the announcement sound because I couldn't estimate the exact time when the tram will stop at each station. I think taking those sounds out of my soundscape is a good decision because they already exist in the site and I don't have to amplify them anymore.
