Due to his tireless militancy in favor of human rights and his opposition to the dictactorship of our country, he clashed with the high hierarchies of the local church and even with Pope John Paul II, who  in a meeting in the Vatican came to reproach him for his rigid attitude towards the Salvadoran regimene.

He is a Salvadoran video blogger, Youtuber and comedian better known as LittleViejo. His videos consist of funny monologues about any topic, primarily relating to youth.

He started as Youtuber on December 19th, 2011, when he uploaded his first video "Express yourself." In December 2011 he registered a YouTube account as Little Viejo and in June 2012 he created his secondary channel under the name SerCompatriot. His name is the combination of two words: "little" is for his height and "old" is for the idiom that means “friend.”

Nowadays, he is the second Youtuber of Salvadoran nationality with the most subscribers, after Fernanfloo. Little Viejo has registered 1.32 million subscribers and has uploaded 355 videos at the time of this writing.

He was born in Alegría, Usulután formerly Tecapa, Usulután on 24 July 1868. He was one of the most dynamic figures in the cultural and political life of his country and exerted a strong influence on the younger generations. 

He was regarded as an autodidact, a curious person who decides to learn if same what calls attention; so when they asked him where he had studied, he answered in the “University of life”. Throughout his life, Masferrer lived in several Central American capitals and toured Chile, New York and Europe. He was also Consul in San José de Costa Rica and Belgium. Masferrer was a somewhat controversial due to their reformist ideas quite different to what it was customary in his time and his participation in the political sphere.

He was a writer who managed to touch several genres that made him earn the respect and admiration of the majority of Salvadorans of this century as Claudia Lars, Miguel Angel Espino and Salarrué writers and intellectuals.
