The best way to manage cultural differences is to be accepting and respectful towards other cultures. It's easier said than done, but once you learn different cultures and understand them, it's closer to having an open mindset towards the cultures. It can be common to have misunderstandings and discriminations in a workplace, however team buildings, ice breakers and diversity management can help fix these issues or lessen.

In my opinion, the best way to manage cultural differences is by respecting each other's differences in cultures. Doesn't matter if we have different perspectives and beliefs, as long as we are considerate and open minded with each other's opinions then healthy communication can be achieved. Building relationships within the workplace or the industry would be easier if we overcome biases and stereotypical ideas about our differences.

Here are few ways to manage conflicts based on cultural differences. Be open to learn new things, educate yourself of other people's culture, learn even a few key phrases of other culture and promote and appreciate other people's culture.

I think that the best way to manage cultural differences is to have acceptance that will also benefit our own inner peace. If this will be applied, especially in the workplace, a good teamwork that a company will have can run their business smoothly because of the built relationship they have with each other. It is important to have an open mind towards new culture and embrace the different dynamic on shared teamwork rather than focus on individual differences. See other people’s opinion as an opportunity to expand your horizons.

I think the best way to manage culture despite differences is to develop empathy among circumstances and situations. Building conversation is essential yet it is far better to try understanding the person's feeling. I think it is important to care for your peers as well as actively listen to them. I believe you will get to understand the person more if you have the willingness to recognize what another person is experiencing at present. Many people and places are going through adversity that affects their personality and eventually take influences the society so believing that we could understand each other and building empathy is one way to get along with differences.

It is necessary for people to know the differences of each person, although this can create conflict, but I feel that they can be managed by telling them what we know. It's important for us to let the people know how we do it so we can expand the way people think and integrate cultures. Being open minded and accepting one's being can lead to good terms and good relationship in between two cultures.

In managing differences, I believe it can be best practiced by merely reminding ourselves about the golden rule that goes, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." With this, we can certainly have an open mind and heart in understanding and respecting one another despite the differences that we may have. Being different and unique is normal, hence, it should not be treated as something that cannot be tolerated and respected. It is just a simple A-B-Cs of values and attitudes about what we should be doing to one another as members of one society towards productivity and inclusivity. After all, we are all just human beings trying to live our best lives in this lifetime, who are we to hinder someone else to do such thing just because of being different?
