The economy was on an up rise. Most of the country was experiencing economic prosperity. However, the portion of the country who were not able to recover completely, were forgotten. The 1950´s were, and still are considered to be ¨great¨ (ENotes, 2019). America was finally beginning to experience a better standard of living after a time of major despair.
