1. The atmosphere is the gas that around the earth.

2. The greenhouse effect works much the same way on Earth. Gases in the atmosphere, such as carbon dioxide, trap heat just like the glass roof of a greenhouse. These heat-trapping gases are called greenhouse gases.

During the day, the Sun shines through the atmosphere. Earth's surface warms up in the sunlight. At night, Earth's surface cools, releasing heat back into the air. But some of the heat is trapped by the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. That's what keeps our Earth a warm and cozy 58 degrees Fahrenheit (14 degrees Celsius), on average.
3.Greenhouse gases are gases in Earth’s atmosphere that trap heat. They let sunlight pass through the atmosphere, but they prevent the heat that the sunlight brings from leaving the atmosphere. The main greenhouse gases are:

Water vapor

Carbon dioxide

Methane

Ozone

Nitrous oxide

Chlorofluorocarbons

Copeyed by steven not Elroy!

1.The atmosphere is...........
2.The greenhouse is when
3.Greenhouse gasses are
Greenhouse gas refers to a gas that surrounds the earth and can absorb or reflect infrared radiation from the earth's surface into space. The main greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide. Greenhouse gases are molecules that combine two or more atoms and have a long residual life that affects the greenhouse effect. Earth's air is mainly composed of nitrogen, oxygen and argon, and carbon dioxide exists less than 1%, but its impact on global temperature is very great. The green house gases are Carbon dioxide, Water vapor, and Methane.
