Some strategies I use are to handle the easiest situation first. For example, if I have a lot of homework and assignments I can't finish in school, I will choose to do the easiest thing since it takes less time. Something new I learned today was that another reason the settlers died were because of diseases from mosquitoes. I hadn't thought about that being a reason for their deaths, but it should have been obvious because mosquitoes can carry malaria and dengue fever.

I feel like slave labor worked really well for the colonies. A farmer could not get much done alone, and with the rise in value of the cash crops, the colonies needed a better solution than indentured servants. I would have sided with the French during the French and Indian war because the British were just mad because the French and Spanish were able to take more land then them quicker. That's a problem that the English faced because they were too caught up on fighting with a Native American tribe and all these complications with land when they could have easily just taken it if they were able to resist the French, Spanish, and the Indian tribes that helped the French, and win the war. The French were able to build relationships while still taking a sizeable amount of land which is something that the English couldn't do and lacked the skill to do.

I found it interesting that the colonists would resort to dumping tea into the Boston Harbor to protest the Tea Act, because that could have gotten them killed by the British government. A question that I have is why the British Parliament kept trying to impose taxes onto the colonists when they protested all of their previous attempts. I feel like the British were wrong for what happened in the Boston Massacre.

I found the Townshend Act and its repeal was surprising due to the Parliament most of the time not repealing acts. A question that I had was why wouldn't the British, instead of taxing, expand more and make war with the Spanish, to take land in Mexico and in Southern North America. One opinion that I had was that the "Stamp Act" was excessive and that the English did not have to tax necessarily everything that was paper, but only official documents.
