In the news, there has been a lot of fighting between Israel and Palestine. This conflict has been going on for many years because both groups want to live in the same land, but they have different ideas about how to share it. Recently, there were big clashes, and many people were hurt. The fighting has caused a lot of fear and sadness, and some families had to leave their homes to stay safe. Schools and hospitals have also been affected, making it hard for kids to go to school and for people to get the help they need.

itsvery sad to see that inoccent kids die and for there loved one to see them gone. so many poeple die and i feel badfor there loved one and how they feel right now. imagine if there was a world where thereis no war and conflict between countrys . so many people would bealive agian and less poeple will feel bad for themselfs.

What teenagers are saying about love. Teenagers are saying that love is in your actions, they are saying you can't just go up to someone and tell them that you love them. You gotta prove to them that you really love them and that you really care about them. The text states, “It’s not easy to love someone because you can’t just say “I love you.” It is all about your actions and how you prove to someone that you love them.” If you are really in love with someone you have to change yourself to show and prove to them that you are worthy for them. For you to even fall in love with someone you have to be happy about yourself. The text also states, "My dad once told me, “For me to be happy, you need to be happy.”

You need to be proud of yourself and grateful for everything. A big lesson is also that your love isn't always going to last forever or even be perfect, there's always gonna be some problem. Love is always going to be challenging. You will never find the right person for yourself while being a teenager. The text says, “Fights and disagreements are normal but it’s the way you handle the differences and the fights that actually matter.”

To conclude all this up teenager love is a complex experience, it plays an significant role in teenager emotional and social development for young teenagers.

Bekhruz Saddikov 11/21/24

New Zealand's bill to alter Indigenous rights leads to mass protests.

The Maori people, indigenous to New Zealand, had practices and rights protected by a bill signed in 1840 by the Maori chiefs and the British Crown that protected their interests in exchange for the acceptance of British sovereignty of the land. Now, the current New Zealand Parliament is trying to change the rights of the Maori people and the bill itself. If this bill passes, the Maori would lose rights and would set their relations back decades. The bill has not enough support to pass currently, however, the Maori makes up 20% of the 5.3 million population yet still has worse health and deprivation outcomes than the rest of the population. Thousands estimated to be 42,000 protesters, protested outside where the bill was being proposed. Some parliament members who were Maori themselves preformed a Hakka which is a traditional dance to show the power and will of the Maori people in order to show unhappiness and discontent for the bill. I was surprised that any government would risk civil unrest over a bill that has existed for almost 200 years and believed that the New Zealander government is stupid to let this happen. I am also on the side of the Maori in this protest as I believe that as they are Indigenous to New Zealand they should be allowed to keep their traditions and treaties alive.

French farmers continued protesting on Monday of mobilisation against a free trade agreement with Mercosur countries. Farmers went as far as mounting a procession of tractors from the Cordination Rurale du Lot-et-Garonne to block the Bordeaux commercial port. Some even dumped tyres to block access to the large seaport where the cereals are imported. A protester said that they imposed a product on them and forbid other products, while the imposed products are forbidden in their country. There are several unions taking part in the protests in France opposing the importations of beef, poultry, sugar, and etc.

I personally side with the farmers, as the importers are going to harm the farmer's economy. They would be giving them increased competition. I believe that the importers also contradict themselves, considering that they are importing forbidden products in France. It is also surprising to hear that a lot of the farmers are cooperating together to get prevent the importations.

28 areas in Guwahati are experiencing a water shortage due to 3 of the water reservoirs located there being disrupted. The citizens of Guwahati have been severely affected by this change in water availability since the last 5 days. People have to rely on private water suppliers and pay a lot of money for water, some families can’t pay that much for water. They are charging 800 for 700 liters of water.

I think the private water suppliers are taking advantage of the situation. This puts poor families at risk because they can’t afford the water they’re selling at such a high price. According to this article they will be fixing the pipes by tomorrow so the reservoirs would have water again.

The ICC claims jurisdiction over territories Israel occuples, including Gaza, East Jerusalem, and the West Bank, following the Palestinlan leadership's formula agreement to be bound by the court's founding principles in 2015.

NYC controversial action of tearing down migrant shelters -By. Cristian, LD

In the video it discusses how NYC plans to shut down one of its largest asylum shelters on Randall's island by February next year due to a decrease in US border crossings and ongoing pressure from local activists. The shelter has faced criticism for illegal operations and rising gang activity, prompting police investigations. The closure will require relocating all 3,000 occupants to other facilities, many of which are former luxury hotels. The video also goes on to talk about critics highlighting that despite shelter's intended purpose, it has become a dangerous environment, contributing to ongoing urban crime rather than aiding vulnerable populations.

I believe that NYC is in a sort of lose-lose situation with this problem because if they do carry through with relocating 3,000 migrants then it would 100% be costly to those involved. Even if they were to not relocate we would most likely see a huge spike in gang activity and as the critics said that it would no longer hold its purpose and rather would be a dangerous area. It's troubling that there are several counts of gang activity in the shelter made for the purposes of sheltering migrants but that might be correlated to gangs crossing over to the US and seeing it as a prime area to begin expanding their gangs territories.

Donald Trumps defense secretary nominee Pete Hegseth allegedly sexually assaulted a woman named Jane Doe. Jane Doe stated that she only remembers saying no a lot to Hegseth during that night at the hotel while Hegseth stated that it was consensual. It was reported that they were both heavily drunk during that night. Doe later told a nurse that she believes something may have been slipped into her drink. Doe also later reported that Hegseth ejaculated inside her stomach and couldn't remember how she got back to her room but she does remember entering it. Later she took a rape kit exam and the nurse reported the alleged assualt to the police. Doe's husband also states Doe did not return until 4 A.M. Hegseth continues claiming it was consensual and adds that she was fine with doing it without protection.

In my opinion I can't really tell if it really was sexual assault or consensual because why would she be hanging around him and getting drunk while at the same time it could be because of nurses and people reporting that they both were drunk. In all honesty if he did do it then that means he drugged her drink or something else. Although somethings doesn't add up because why does he remember all the details but not her? In the end I believe he might have sexually assaulted her and token advantage of her while she was drunk.

The Downfall of Yemen

On July 17, 1978, Ali Abdullah Saleh was elected president of Yemen. His lack of experience in politics raised concerns for the people of yemen, but he managed to make alliances with other countries and did a pretty good job his presidency. However, in 1994, a civil war occured when Saleh planned on unifying North and South Yemen into one nation. This decision infuriated the people of South Yemen, who launched attacks against the Northern part of Yemen. In response, Northern Yemen sent out airstrikes, bombings, and a large deployment of soldiers, which resulted in 7,000-10,000 deaths in total over two months. In the 2000s, as South Yemen was still recovering from the war, they decided to start protests against Saleh. In frustration, Saleh replied with force, leading to even more deaths. Then, he attempted to make peace with Saudi Arabia, despite Yemens past relationship (they didnt like each other back then). made many the people of Yemen feel betrayed. That was when The Houthi Rebels, an armed group of terrorists, turned against him. In 2014, their alliance Saleh ended. They set a plan for years, thinking of how they were gonna get revenge against Saleh. Then, on December 4th, 2017, the Houthis ambushed the capital of Yemen, and killed Saleh’s guards. Saleh in an effort tried to escape in a vehicle, which caused a vehicle pursuit, but failed, and was later on captured and kidnapped by the Houthis. They took him a place in Sanaa, where he was tortured, interrogated, and eventually, executed with a bullet to the head. After the disturbibg events, the United States decided to get to the bottom of this. First they let Saudi Arabia know that they supported the idea of Yemen and Saudia Arabia beibg allies. Then, they launched airstrikes, drone warfare, naval attacks, and even backup from Saudia Arabians troops against the Houthis. This action killed many members of the Houthi and temporarily forced the group to surrender, causing them to stay under the radar. But, due to the absence of the president of yemen, this led the country to chaos. The government decided to run the nation for now, but the people of Yemen had much more freedom, causing higher crime rates, civil wars, and an manor increase of death rates in Yemen. This made Yemen one of the most dangerous countries in the world to ever exist.

When i first found out about this, i was very interested and thought it was ironic from the fact that a president of a country was doing such a bad job, that the people decided to assasinate him, and this led things to get even worse. I also learned that in April 2022, a new presideng was elected for Yemen. His name was Rashad al-Alimi and he was even worse than Ali Abdullah Saleh. Many people of yemen complained that he lacked political experience and not being strict, which allowed the people of yemen to do even more despicable things in the country.
How could the U.S. military be used for Trump's mass deportation plan?

Donald Trump,as President-elect, has promised to deport many undocumented immigrants, possibly using U.S. military resources. His plan includes rehiring retired ICE agents, hiring contractors, and using laws like the Insurrection Act to allow the military to help with deportations. In the past, the military has only helped at the U.S. - Mexico border with supports tasks, like transportation and logistics. Actively involving the military in deportations, however, brings legal and ethical problems. Experts say this plan would be very expensive, legally complicated, and could harm people's trust in the military.

The article brings up important concerns about using the military for immigration enforcement. Border security matters, but involving the military this way could create legal problems, confuse their role, and make people trust them less. I am worried that this plan could take away resources the military needs for other important jobs. Also, deporting millions of people would be very expensive and hurtful to many families. this approach may go against American values and harm immigrant communities

As of Wednesday, November 20, 2024, Iceland’s capital erupted for the seventh time this year. The eruption had a little warning at 11:14. The eruption was said to be smaller than last time as it created a fissure just under 2 miles long. First signs of the eruption were recorded 45 minutes before the actual eruption.

My reaction: I don’t have much to say about this because the authors of this article and scientists of Iceland all said that it was a minor eruption and that nobody was harmed. They also said that the eruption rates haven’t increased so there's nothing to worry about yet.
