In 2020 and the pandemic of COVID-19, technology in the classroom has almost become a "Must". As a future teacher, I will incorporate technology into my classroom to assist and support the needs of my students. I will use technology to its full advantage in the classroom, by using a variety of services and materials that are both interactive and self-paced. By getting creative with your material in the classroom and "mixing up" the way material is presented, a teacher can use technology to help deliver the support students may need. There are many technological services out there that teachers can use to impact their instruction and eventually impact the learning of their students. From videos to interactive activities to PowerPoints to voiceover lessons to games and contests, technology offers several different means to present the material that students need in a way that best fits the student so that they can become the best that they can be in the class.

The school district I will be student teaching in is currently using a hybrid model so I see students face-to-face one day and on zoom another day. The other three days they complete asynchronous lessons remotely. I plan to use technology as a classroom management tool to keep my A and B groups progressing at relatively the same pace. I was already planning to use Peardeck and the G Suite to create digital activities and assignments; however, this course has also provided me with a lot of new ideas. I am excited to incorperate applications like padlet and mural for ordering processes, bellwork, and brainstorming. Additionally, I would like to include student choice activities as summative assessments and I could utilize flipgrid and other video apps to incorperate presentations virtually.

As an educator in the 20th-century technology is a valuable resource so why not use it to push my lesson to another level. There are so many resources I would love to use for starters Seesaw. This website allows students to complete pages and lessons I have created which is absolutely perfect for teachers who are hybrid or fully virtual. Teachers can assign items for the class to do and then see their work and even share it with the entire class. As I work with younger students I have found that YouTube has so many educational videos that are interactive and fun. This is definitely a tool I will use to incorporate new ideas and additional help to my students. There are videos helpful for math and literacy. Lastly, I would incorporate Flipgrid into lessons especially if students are fully virtual. This site allows students to create video discussion on a topic assigned. This allows the students to see each other and connect and discuss the lessons. There are also fun effects and backgrounds students can use that make the learning even more fun.

I could not imagine teaching right now without technology, especially now during the pandemic of COVID-19. Technology allows interactive learning, new experiences, and authentic learning materials that we could not always offer without the technological resources. During my student teaching experience, I look forward to learning more about the platform Seesaw. The school I will be student teaching at uses Seesaw as a way of communication with parents to send images of student work and messages to parents, as well as assigning some work through Seesaw. I look forward to using this platform as a way to build relationships with the families of my students and communicating with them. I would also like to try and use Book creator while student teaching because I often find videos on YouTube or online read alouds of books I like but may not always be completely relevant to what I am teaching. However, if I use the Bookcreator app I can create books that the students find engaging that can also relay the appropriate information I want to teach to my students.

Like many of my peers who have commented here, I agree that I couldn't not imagine a classroom without technology. The use of PowerPoints alone is so critical to the ease and flow of classroom lessons and transitions. I think technology as a whole can be used to create amazing and new activities for the students, and allows for really cool collaboration efforts. And let's not forget - without technology right now in December 2020, many schools would be completely shut down without interactive classes for their students at home. I also believe technology education should be implemented at the secondary and college level for all learners to experience, as it is inevitable in the real world of business, education, and plenty more. I will turn to different technologies like Google Meet or Zoom to keep my students going at the same pace, given that many schools are hybrid right now. The use of Kahoot is a great way to keep students engaged with a fun sense of competition, and its adaptable for use over google and zoom! I would also love to use Flipgrid, as many teachers are using that nowadays, for their students to create easy yet personalized discussions.

I think I could combine an idea from an earlier module—having students engage in reflective writing—with technology. I'm a pretty old-fashioned English major—I have an affinity for just writing with a pen and a piece of paper, but I'm willing to sacrifice my old-school taste to make the writing process more intuitive for my students. I could ask my students to create a personal blog where they do their reflective writing—this would allow my students to interact with one another and even embed hyperlinks to videos, other articles, etc. Perhaps I could even take it a step further and have my students engage in personal reflection by creating YouTube videos or animations. This kind of visual rendering would be beneficial.

Looking around the world, you can easily see all of the technology that surrounds us. Technology has become a staple in our lives and within Special Education, it is imperative that I teach my students how to use and navigate technology and their surroundings. Most of my students use a type of AAC device to communicate their wants, needs, and thoughts. Through this, they are able to hold conversations and tell us what they need better and more effectively than before. There are several things I can do to improve my teaching and incorporate more technology in my students' lives. The first thing I can improve upon, is to use their AAC devices to communicate my teaching to them. Often, my staff and I speak to our students and though that is beneficial for them to hear and respond to our words, using their form of communication could clarify things and help them learn skills quicker. Another way I want to incorporate more technology into my students's live is to use a variety of apps to assess their knowledge. My students rely heavily on pictures to help them navigate their world and with picture apps, I feel my students would be able to communicate their knowledge. Lastly, post-COVID, I would love to teach my students how to respond to signals in their environment that rely on technology. Responding to stop signs, walk/don't walk signs, using a touch screen to order or pay for food, etc. will only increase their independence in the community.

Technology is always evolving and changing. To this end, to keep lessons relevant and engaging to students, it's imperative to learn how to use technology effectively in the classroom. I would love to try to utilize Google Docs or other Google technologies. This makes students working in groups much easier, since they no longer need to coordinate their schedules to the same extent that they would if they were required to meet in person. Additionally, as a teacher, I can monitor their progress if they share the product with me prior to completing the project. Additionally, Peardeck is a fantastic method of doing lectures if the district or school is subscribed to it, to allow me to get feedback on presentations including but not limited to emotional monitoring of the students, or answering other questions throughout.

Technology has quickly become an integral part of our everyday lives and many school wouldn't be able to function without technology as many schools are using virtual technology as their main source of instruction this school year. Working with elementary-aged students, I see a need for technology integration in the classroom primarily to assist in student learning and aid in classroom communication. I would integrate technology by creating a class seesaw that would be used throughout the schoolyear. Seesaw would allow the teacher to communicate with both parents and students quickly and effectively and it would provide an easy way for students to share their work with the class and have all of their assignments in one place. I could see this being especially useful in a virtual school setting. I would also integrate the resource Epic Books (linked below) into my classroom instruction because this resource can provide a variety of free books for students to read and it also provides supplemental resources like book quizzes and read to me texts.

Something I have alps learned is that we need to use it and learn best practices for technology BEFORE we need to. Many schools this year added technology into their curriculum as a necessity before learning how to best use it. In my classroom I will use a variety of technology to best teach my students and improve their educational practices. I especially plan to use platforms such as seesaw and blogs to allow them to interact with each other which is something many students this year are lacking

Many students often already prefer using technology to complete assignments rather than paper-and-pencil, but teachers have a tendency to just use technology for technology's sake in the classroom when we really could be doing so much more. Particularly with the very sudden changes to classroom environments from Covid, schools are now seeing what sorts of classroom technologies work and what do not. I am admittedly grateful that I was not yet teaching when this all started, because there have now been millions of school personnel that have been doing the technology trial-and-error for me, and I get to reap the benefits of knowing good resources. I am very happy to add this module's Slides of teaching technology tools to my repertoire that I have been collecting over the past year or so.

In the previous semesters in my field placement classrooms, I saw technology used as substitution by teachers alone. This looked like power points instead of writing notes on the whiteboard, video lecturers instead of the teacher giving direct instruction, and the use of smart boards to post the daily schedule. Not only is it essential for teachers to effectively use technology- but students must also be able to navigate, create and upload their work successfully. One way I will try to integrate technology is with the use of a google classroom. In the online classroom I will post extra examples, resources and reviews of lessons taught. Students will be taught how to upload their work and navigate the site. Adding on the technology can seem daunting at first, but we must remember we will be teaching to the smartphone generation- most students come into a classroom already familiar with how a tablet/ laptop work- we as teachers must take their current abilities and teach them how to use them in the academic environment.

Technology is such an important part of the modern day classroom. I cannot imagine how students would learn during a pandemic like COVID-19 without technology. Technology needs to be integrated into the classroom daily so that students are constantly getting to experiment and work with different types of instructional technologies. I really liked learning about some of the various types of instructional technologies such as Explain Everything, Linoit, Quizzez, Padlet, etc. I can definitely see how I can incorporate some (or all) of these into my classroom while student teaching. I will be teaching mathematics so I believe something like Quizzez would be really fun for students. I would use this tool as a review at the end of a lesson and have the class play all together with each student using their own device. When I was in school my teachers used Kahoot which is very similar to Quizzez and everyone always loved getting to use it. I believe I could use a tool like Explain Everything while teaching both in-person and virtually. This technology could enhance my lesson and help students to follow along easier while online. I am really looking forward to getting to use technology in the classroom and creating fun new ways to integrate it into my lessons each day!

Many schools this year have started to incorporate different forms of technology with the addition of zoom classrooms. However, I think it is important to make an effort to keep some of these additions once we return back to the physical classroom. I found the educational online scavenger hunts through goosechase, edu very interesting. A scavenger hunt based on the Museum of Fine Art in Boston was on their website, which could be a great way to get students involved and engaged in art or history based content. Likewise, many museums are now giving virtual interactive tours that could be used as a field trip for students.

Technology is becoming more and more of an important part of education. In my time in college I have seen teachers use technology in many different ways both in my courses and in my placements. Last year, before the COVID-19 pandemic, I shadowed a teacher who used technology to allow art students to be creative collaboratively. This is something that I would love to implement in my art classroom. There are so many apps and websites that can allow me to set up creative spaces for my art students to brainstorm or create their own graphic arts, whether collaboratively or on their own. One site that I have had experience with is Procreate, where students can draw out their own art ideas. Given the COVID-19 pandemic it is important now more than ever to implement technology in our classrooms and give students chances to be hands-on and explore. By implementing technology in my classroom I hope to keep my students engaged and have high student success while allowing for creativity.

I have seen firsthand through my mother's teaching of her art classes that adapting to technology may take some time, but once established you can reach students better and quicker than before. From my placement experiences I've seen teachers use ClassDojo, Seesaw, Flipgrid, and Google Classroom as integrating technology into the classroom and giving students a fun and creative way to publish and share their own work. I would especially want to use the tool Seesaw since it offers free training of the service on their website, and showcases different slides, activities, and lessons in an open format on their site.

Luckily for us, the new generation of teachers have been raised on technology, so we already have a good understanding of how to navigate things. Even before COVID-19, technology was becoming more and more prevalent in the classroom. I haven't been in a placement classroom that doesn't have a SmartBoard. I will have them work in a few apps so that they can get an idea of the things they can use technology for, but I will limit the amount of technology that I require.

I have always enjoyed using computers, tablets, cell phones, etc to complete my work digitally for school. Students need to be taught the importance of not wasting paper. I have see many teachers use this platform, especially during this school year. SeeSaw is a great platform because it allows teachers, parents, and students to be in one place together. Teachers can post assignments for students, and the students have many different way of responding by taking a picture, typing, and audio or video recording. Not only is it a learning tool for students, but parents can communicate with teachers on SeeSaw by sending direct messages. With all the struggles virtual learning brings, I believe this is a powerful tool for teacher, students, and parents to stay connected. I look forward to using this tool in my student teaching.

The schools who are in person are hybrid. This requires teachers to become used to technology. You can use these resources consonantly to your advantage. With websites like youtube you can provide music, educational videos, etc. There are other websites that provide educational games. You can use powerpoints to make attractive presentations to catch students attention.

I will incorporate technology in my future classroom through numerous online tools. In this virtual time, I believe it is essential for educators to have an online learning platform established and also integrated in the classroom. With the ever changing in-person teaching to virtual learning, having a platform such as Seesaw allows teachers to reach all students wherever they may be participating. I will use Seesaw to create a two-way open communication platform with the families of my students. I will also use Seesaw as a tool where students can access assignments and class material to effectively complete the requirements. Students will use Seesaw to turn in the completed assignments and receive teacher feedback and peer feedback on the same platform. Seesaw provides an organized online tool that incorporates everything into one place. The easy navigation of one platform is favorable for families and students. Another technological app that I have had prior experience with and that I wish to incorporate in my future classroom is Toontastic. Last semester, I completed my field placement in a second-grade classroom. During my time there, I observed the students participate in explorations class. The students enjoyed using Toontastic to create their own characters and share their stories. It is my responsibility to incorporate effective technology in my future classroom.

I think technology is a huge part to the classroom of the future. I have already collected my google educator certification as just a start. My methods professor this last semester made it very clear that technology needs to be a part of our curriculum and the more integrated the better. I took that to heart in the creation of some of my assignments for the class and designed a bunch of lessons to be completed online both in an inquiry format and guided instruction. I believe that integration of technology in our classrooms in most instances makes our teaching of curriculum more effective as it allows students to explore different material, act more creatively and have a large variety of assessment. There are many other technology that could be used outside from some of the tools that were presented in the slides that are more specific for my needs. For example I have found simulations and demos that are found for free online that can represent and show curriculum more differently than how I present it. Some of these simulations are found on PhET which is a provider for free online simulations for many different sciences as well as math. Concepts can be freely shown to the students allowing them to explore or build around a lab or activity. So many options available to move into the different tiers of SAMR which are beneficial to student learning.

Especially during this pandemic, it is important that we incorporate this tool to help benefit our students. Without using technology more and more, we are not grabbing the students' attention like we could be and thus losing out on interacting with more students. This resource can help us with creativity, too. There are so many things we can do with technology that we cannot do with pen and paper. I would like to incorporate a lot of different forms of technology throughout my time as a teacher but I think the most beneficial thing, as a future English teacher, is the use of google add-ons like pear deck. I think that would be very beneficial for assignments that I want students to do on their own but also be rather interactive with.

I plan to use technology in my classroom to get students engaged and want to log on to class. With students struggling with math, more than ever I know how important it will be to get students consistently engaged. Some of the ways I plan to do this is by using virtual scavenger hunts, fun videos, and games instead of heaps of lectures and practice problems. Most of the active learning practices we know and love are able to be modified for online learning. Another strategy I like is showing a unique item everyday. It sounds silly, but one of my professors would pick a unique item from his house to show every class and the students absolutely loved it. I think little things that aren't school related are important to include as well since so many students are struggling in their personal lives as well right now.

Within my own personal subject of history, online resources are an absolute necessity.

Technology's role in education in undeniable, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic sent most school districts around the country to full virtual education models. It is more important than ever that teachers find ways to thoroughly teach material through technological means. Zoom, Seesaw, iReady, Clever, and Epic are just a few examples of online programs that are being used in schools around the country today. Each of these programs is designed to guide children in their learning. I am a huge fan of Seesaw, personally, and I intend to assign my students daily tasks to complete during centers. I want technology to be a constant practice in my classroom, unlike I experienced growing up. One idea from this training I will most definitely use is having the students create a web page in place of hand writing a persuasive essay. The necessary skills are still being taught, yet the students can take a more active role in their learning through the use of technology. As time continues I hope that teachers find more effective ways to assess the progress of their students online. This is something that I am noticing first hand working with students on their virtual school work.

In the current climate of our country, it has become evident that the use of technology is one of the most effective, if not the only, way to teach our students. This past semester, I had the opportunity to observe a fully virtual classroom from the comfort of my home and to present a lesson virtually. The lead teacher I observed used a variety of new tools to create a successful classroom environment virtually. For example, she often created bitmoji classrooms for students to explore topics further. Google classroom, as also demonstrated in this training, was also used to monitor students' completed work. Many activities were located in SeeSaw, an application I find as a great introductory application for younger elementary students. If I had to use only one application in my classroom, it would be SeeSaw! SeeSaw has the ability for students to use text, video recordings, microphone recordings, photos, or drawing tools to complete their assigned work. Moving forward, I hope to continue the use of SeeSaw in my student teaching.

Technology is easy to integrate into the classroom as long as you have the right technological tools. Using instructional videos via screen projectors or multiple computers is a simple and tested method at this point. Another method is all the classroom management apps like seesaw or class dojo that are very popular in the field right now. However a way that I would like to integrate technology into the classroom is video games and movies. Let me clarify; when i say video games and movies I am talking about a science project involving basic coding through the program scratch or for higher levels of education the digital design program blender, or for movies a social studies project that involves students scripting, directing, and acting in order to create movies to reenact or inform people about history, geography, or any other subject. These two specific ideas require that every or most students has a computer and access to the internet which is becoming more and more common at home, but is at least accessible in almost every school in the United States now. The reason this idea is so perfect for me is that it will engage students. Many of my friends growing up loved gaming, and the trend has only increased among the students I have worked with in the field so far. Giving them an avenue to engage with what they love while learning at the same time is ideal for motivating learning.

Something I have found useful as a student has been the accessibility to study groups through technology. Meeting up on zoom with a few other peers to discuss and review content has been incredible. I would love to implement accessible technology opportunities for students outside of the classroom as they need it such as virtual meeting hours or assistance in organizing study groups or in my case with art education, critique meetings where students could receive feedback outside of the classroom while they work from home.

I see technology as a double-edged sword when in the context of physical education specifically. On one hand, the use of asynchronous assignments or units through technology has the potential to offer opportunities for those students who are not comfortable exercising in front of their peers because of various insecurities. On the other side, technology limits what the students can experience in PE. One of the greatest benefits PE offers students is exposure to different social skills amongst their peers, which is not present during 'virtual' PE.
Of course there are various levels at which technology can be implemented, I just drew on what has been most familiar to me during this COVID season. Hopefully during my student teaching I will be able to incorporate technology into the in-person school semester.
In the fall, I had students use videos of themselves performing a skill to self-assess themselves. I think self-assessment and self-reflection are incredible skills to learn and can be applied to many avenues of life.

I have YouTube videos that they watch that explain step by step how to complete each stitch. This lets students work at their own pace and now one gets so far behind that they can't catch up. I tried once to teach one stitch as a class and it was not successful. some students understood quickly and were bored waiting for everyone else. Others were lost from step one and never recovered. YouTube videos give me the freedom to help the students that need help and let the independent students work on their own. I always tell them that I am not going to be there at their house when a button falls off of a shirt or they have a rip that needs sewn; but they will always have the internet and YouTube to help them.

I know how to use it and see the value in it, however, I think I will always prefer in-person instruction and hands-on activities instead of technological ones. During the time that we live in right now, technology has become very important for us as a way to stay connected and continue learning. I wish to implement technology in my classroom in a few different ways. One being, I would like to create a page that both teachers and students can access in which I can post their homework for that night and information on upcoming events/assignments. I think this is a great way to promote relationships with parents outside of a school setting. I also would like to use it for review. A good way to review a topic and see how your students are doing is through Kahoot. Lastly, being a math or English teacher, I would like to use it for extra practice in math, so I can track individual student progress through a platform like IXL, and as a collaborative writing tool in my English classroom.

I have since come to see how much of an asset technology can be when used effectively. In a world almost dependent upon technology, it seems appropriate to teach them skills that they will be able to use in the world.
I think back to an activity I did with some of my eighth graders. When reading The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank, I wanted them to understand the conditions of a concentration camp, but I couldn't pack them up and take them to Germany. A website called 360 cities allowed me to walk the students through a virtual tour of Auschwitz, Bergen-Belson, where Anne died, and the annex she and her family lived in. This gave students an advantage when learning about the novel and its cultural context.

Both of those resources provide the service of students being able to post a picture of their work with a description and leave comments for others. By having students critique each other’s work virtually it also gives the opportunity for students to work out what they have to say about the other student’s art, while following the guidelines for a specific type of critique which could result in more engagement during the in person critique. The added bonus of using something like Seesaw is that the submissions of the students are also accessible for parents to see and it can work as a portfolio of all the students work.

Depending on the grade you teach, the websites and online instructional materials will change. One online feature that I still love in college is Kahoot. I am sure that many of my colleagues have heard of it before, but if you don't know what it is I am here to explain it. Kahoot is a way for teachers to write questions and the students all answer at the same time. it is fun because its like a competition. The thing that I like about it is you can see the students who are struggling in a topic without allowing the whole class to see. All you have to do is log onto Kahoot.it and create your questions. Then show your code to the students and they type it in and it is a fun review game for everyone!

I would like to incorporate technology as an enhancement to help some students who do not learn best from lecture. This would help to give the information in another way. Technology could be used to show what the students will be learning about during the class period. It could also be used as a review to put a review board or game up and for them to interact with technology while reviewing the content before an quiz or exam.

For a long time, I was an advocate of using very little to no technology in the classroom; I didn't really like how dependent everyone was becoming on their phone and computer or how much time and attention it took away from students being able to interact face to face or with the natural world. In more recent years, however, I have come to see just how much of an asset technology can be to a child's educational experience. When incorporated effectively, technology can further enhance a student's learning and improve overall engagement. In the music classroom specifically, there are a variety of tools and apps available for teachers to use. One that I have used frequently throughout my field experiences is SmartMusic. This program allows students to receive immediate feedback on their playing or singing exercises as well as play along with practice tracks. This site is perfect for a time like this, when music lessons can't necessarily be held in person. Other forms of technology for the music classroom include tuner, metronome, and piano apps. Even the simple video or audio recording function on an ipad be used by a student to record and reflect on their performance.

I felt like it was a lazy way for teachers to get out of doing work by assigning things for us to do virtually. However, I am slowly developing a liking for technology. One of my biggest breakthroughs I had with technology was during my junior field experience when I was able to use the smart board for live quizzes. I am honestly not 100% sure of what the program was called, but I was able to give the students questions from the lesson I just presented and they were all competing to see who could reach the most correct answers in the shortest number of time. It seemed at first to me like it wouldn't work, but this little bit of competition and technology was able to grab the students attention and they were paying more attention during the lesson simply because of the anticipation of the game at the end.

I love all of the websites and apps that allow students to not only help them reach a lesson goal, but also get them thinking creatively/outside-the-box. Going forward in my student teaching, I want to really sit and think through my lessons about where I can incorporate technology in an effective way. I think we can get so worried that we're using too much or too little technology - we worry more about quantity than the actual quality of the technology. You can have a super successful classroom that has lots of students on iPads, computers, and using other technology! I'd love to use video recordings and cameras to help students document and transform their work this semester!

One way that I would be interested in integrating technology into the classroom would be in the Flipped Classroom format. In a Flipped Classroom, the majority of lecture material is recorded via an online platform and students view this material outside of class. Platforms such as Educreations and Explain Everything would work really well for this as they are interactive white boards. Furthermore, FlipGrids could be created in order to share short clips to help better explain concepts being discussed. Lastly, Padlets could be used to either have students share questions they have or parts that stood out to them on the board while they view their lesson material. What's great about the Flipped Classroom is that it allows for each class period to provide opportunities for students to actively engage with what they had learned while at home online. We all know that a typical class period of about 45 minutes flies by and it can be difficult to cram in lectures while also giving students the chance to engage with what they had learned.

One program that is particularly helpful in the late elementary or middle school music classroom is flat.io which is an online program where students can electronically notate music and have it played back to them. This is particularly helpful in classrooms where creating and composing music is an essential part of the curriculum.
In terms of using something like paddle or lino, I could see these online platforms as a way for students to share pieces of music that have caught their attention so others can listen to them as well. It can be the beginning of fostering conversations about music and how to have these conversations.

I have had many experiences throughout my schooling where we have had technology based activities that just seemed pointless and now in hindsight they seem even worse because they didn't really serve to enhance my learning experience. I think technology in the classroom can be very hit and miss which is why a lot of care has to be taken in how it is used. I also think that consistency is important when it comes to technology. There are so many different websites, apps, and programs that all serve the same purposes but are slightly different. For me, as a learner, it always bothered me when the teacher would implement something new that could easily be done on technology that we already have. An example of this is grading management programs like Google Classroom, Moodle, and Canvas. For most of middle and high school, I used Google Classroom and I got used to it and was able to master the technology and it was very convenient to have everything in one place. However I had a few oddball teachers that decided to use Moodle instead. Then when I got to college, everyone was using Canvas which I'd never even heard of. I had to constantly learn and use multiple programs that all served the same purpose. I think that consistency in using the same programs would be important, at least for students like me, because then they don't have to keep trying to learn and keep up with new things. I think these classroom/grading management programs are a great use of tech in the classroom as they help both the teacher and the student. While I have experienced some other tech uses in class, they always seemed to have been fads that we used only a handful of times and then I never heard from them again. I think if we introduce new technology, it should be something that we plan on using for the long haul not just a throwaway activity for a week, as it just doesn't seem to be very useful otherwise.

Technology integration within the music classroom can take form in multitudes of media resources, composition and improvisation software, websites for theory practice, and programs that aid in students’ practicing and reception of feedback. Most of my experience using technology in field experience has been via the use of musictheory.net or similar websites as classroom activities and informal assessment of how well the students grasp concept-based aspects of music theory or even music history, such as knowing note names and key signatures. This use of technology has been oriented around the enhancement side of the SAMR model; while a technological tool was implemented to work towards efficiency, there was really no complete redesign of the activity at hand because it could also happen tech-free (with a physical worksheet activity). I do believe that the use of video and audio recording technology can be particularly useful in the music classroom as a way for students to record their performance or an excerpt of their repertoire, so that not only teacher feedback can be provided (in real time and with more time efficiency) but also the student can listen back to their own recording in order to self-assess and determine for themselves places of strength and places that may still need improvement. I also like the idea of incorporating technology discussion boards and including multimedia submissions as a way to share ideas about the tone or themes of a piece of music, what performative styles may suit any given song, or even as a forum to share pieces of music that the students either have the opportunity to create themselves or just that they have researched and found enjoyment in.

There are many ways technology can be an amazing tool in the music ed classroom. Going through the SAMR model, many technological tools I've used in my experience fit quite well. For instance, Smart music is a great tool for several distinctive of SAMR. It provides a way for students to listen to music, get immediate note accuracy feedback, and play along themselves. Other tools include Garage Band, which provides students an opportunity to be creative by creating a song and sharing it with others.

I have never considered myself "good" with technology and didn't have a lot of experience growing up with technology use in my secondary math education. However, I am starting to learn that implementing technology in my future classroom will be crucial to successfully engaging all learners. Also, as I have continued to explore the wide variety of technology resources available, I believe they will be much less daunting to integrate into my math classroom than I originally thought. One of my favorite technology resources for math is GeoGebra. I used it in my college calculus and geometry classes to graph 3D shapes, and it really helped me visualize and understand the material a lot better! This platform also has a 2D graphing calculator and other features that would be useful in the high school math classroom to help students visualize the material more effectively. I also believe that one of the most effective ways students learn math is through explaining their work and reasoning behind a solution verbally. I can use technology such as PowerPoint or other video tools to create assignments where students present material to the class as a redefined formative or cumulative assessment.

When it comes to science, nothing beats in person laboratory activities. However, as we have seen in 2020, in person is not always possible. That is where PHET comes in. They have interesting and interactive laboratory activities which can assist students with their understanding of scientific content as close to an in person lab as possible. Utilizing PHET is one way that I will integrate technology into my classroom, even if we are in person. I love a "flipped" lesson, so I will have a lab in class, then use an EdPuzzle video for homework which more deeply describes the concepts they learned in class, and allow them to perform a couple of laboratory type tasks using a PHET option just to help reinforce what they did in class. it's that simple! Check it out.

For any class, the use of technology needs to be carefully thought out. For physical education I think this is especially true. It is easy for technology in this context to take away from the physical health benefits that the course aims to provide and take students' attention away from reality and have them hyper-focus on a game. I would prefer to use technology in most cases for power point presentations at the beginning and end of class, and for work that can be done outside of class. Using technology for non-exercise activities leaves a lot more time for physical activity in class. With that being said I would like to incorporate technology that will keeps students active all days of the week which I will do by using some type of pedometer or geocaching. I see a lot of value in gamifying exercise, so these could be very useful.

Being a PE educator, technology can make or break a lesson sometimes. It can be a way to expand on activities, when it works of course. I've seen technology be used as a communicative tool often between teacher and students or teacher and parents. In PE we have to be more careful about using certain technology tools because a lot more is physically happening compared to a typical classroom (when we are in person rather than zoom during covid times). I could use online dancing platforms to create a Dance Dance Revolution sort of activity during my rhythm unit. I have seen other educators use apps to create their own GIFS of them doing a workout they want the students to follow, which then just repeats itself as a constant showing during the activity for the students. I have also seen apps that randomly create teams for the students when you plug in their names, which makes it easier for on the spot activities.

Another way I used technology was by using Quizizz as a formative assessment, and the students loved it! As a teacher, I will most likely use flat.io with bloom's higher level thinking skills. For example, students may be asked to create a 4 bar simple melody with notes C-G. That assignment would foster creative growth and ear training within simple parameters. This could be done in small groups using effective strategies such as brainstorm carousels or collaborative pairs, or independently to submit for summative assessment. Another activity students could do is listen to a small excerpt from a piece on their rep list and try to find the errors. Again, this could be done collaboratively or independently but probably as a stretch formative assessment.

Google Maps is a great instructional technology that provides awesome visuals and immerses students right in with other cultures virtually.

Technology can be integrated into my future music classroom in so many ways. One way I thought out in multiple levels similar to the SAMR model. A start would be playing music videos for students to hear different styles of music from around the world. This concept could be taken deeper by then having the class perform the music in a similar manner and record the performance. Taken a step further the class could video chat with a different class in another part of the world where the music is common. They can gain understanding and both classes could create a virtual performance of the music style. There are many up and coming ways of creating virtual performances, as the pandemic has fueled the need for this technology. One app that can be used is Upbeat Music App. This app allows people to sing or play to a back track given by the teacher. The students then perform and the video is edited together seeing all performers. I think these would be great steps in throwing a music class into the music of another culture.

A great way that I have seen technology integrated into the classroom was in an undergraduate English class. The professor had students create their own digital portfolio on Wix which included information about themselves, an explanation of their writing process, and samples of their written work. I thought this was a fabulous way to compile and display work, especially for students to build upon over the years. It not only allowed students to be creative and use multiple media, but it allowed them to work through the extremely difficult metacognition of explaining their writing process and communicating it to future employers, grad schools, and the world. I think this project and integration of technology could easily be done at the high school level and integrated throughout the school year. Additionally, students could update the class on their project via a Linoit or Padlet discussion board, ask questions, and respond to each other as they work through their writing process and how to effectively use the technology to communicate.

Students have to complete math problems and then are rewarded with a short battle game. Teachers can assign students different levels based on ability and then the program adjusts based on student answers to the questions. EdPuzzle, Quizizz, and Kahoot are other apps I used a lot when I had long term sub positions in middle and high school. I plan to continue to use these.

To be honest, it seems rather futile to me when educators try and avoid technology in this day and age. Technology as a concept is a constant at this point, and it only will continue to grow and evolve as time goes on. That being said, a lot of older teachers that I have observed are really against technology because they believe it will cause distractions. While I see that argument, I think that the way of the world points more and more towards needing this fluid integration of tech in the classroom. Personally, I really loved the idea of creating my own website. For a project in English class, group members and I had to create a website about a research topic of our choice surrounding abolition literature. We chose to focus on what Harrisburg newspapers were saying about the underground railroad in the mid 1800s. I found this was an engaging way for me to use technology while learning something extremely valuable in the process.

Technology is important in every classroom even when that classroom is a gymnasium. With being a health a physical education major I have learned the importance to keep students active as much as possible. Though technology normally involves students sitting still, I have seen it used to keep students active. One teacher used the smart board to show students different dance moves and to play music through. Another teacher had a dance dance revolution unit. Technology can also be used show demonstrations and show game play so students can understand rules and movements better. Some teachers even use heart rate monitors so students are able to see their effort level. Technology allows teachers to use alternative ways for students to be active and learn.

The integration of technology into the classroom is important and can be done with creativity. Music education is a place where technology could be integrated easily. For example, if we are currently working on identifying major and minor chords, I could provide students with recordings of chords or pieces that fall within major and minor. The students could then select whether they believe the chord is major or minor and be met with confirmation or explanation. I could also direct my students to a number of websites or apps that feature a myriad of musical games to help them practice their ear training and improve their ability to differentiate between major and minor chords and sounds. There are also resources that would allow students to build chords themselves and better understand the composition of chords.

This module has been really helpful in directing my thinking as to how I could incorporate technology in the classroom. I think one cool app that I saw was goosechase. I could envision myself using it in the math classroom by doing a scavenger hunt with students, perhaps in a unit with fractions. Students would be required to find objects outside (hopefully we could do the activity outside) that represent certain fractions (for example, I could have a pizza box laying somewhere with one slice of pizza in it, representing the fraction 1/8). They could then take a picture of that object to match it with the fraction listed on the app. I could make it a group project as well. This could be a great way to help students stay engaged.

I believe there are many ways to beneficially integrate technology into education. I think Seesaw in particular could be really helpful in a music setting. Because Seesaw allows students to share photos, videos, and drawings, this could be helpful for activities such as playing something they learned, take a picture of somewhere they went, or draw a picture of what they think a piece of music is depicting through sound. I think websites like Noteflight or Flat.io are also websites that I would like to use in future lessons. This allows students to create music by dragging notes onto a staff, choosing the rhythms of each note, and listening to the music they create as they are writing it. They could then share this with their classmates for feedback on something like Padlet or Seesaw.

I've always loved classes that integrate technology when working with students. We live in a world where technology is pretty much everywhere, and excluding it from classes feels like a waste. As a teacher, I would most likely include flipgrid or kahoot into my classes. Kahoot reminds me of using jeopardy games in class to study for tests and turning it into a fun little contest to do in small group sessions. It's a way of kids to remind themselves of prior learning, and on the teacher end you can see which students scored wrong and find out what certain weak points might need to be revisited to help students. Flipgrid is such a fun way of integrating into class that lets students get creative. Even using flipgrid to present or introductions can be such a fun thing to do for students.

This allows for parents to see how their children are doing in the classroom. Another thing I saw and loved was a thing my teacher did on Friday afternoons with inquiry based learning. The students were able to come up with their own research topics and use their computers to help them. They would use different search engines the teacher provided to do research. When they finished they would present to their class. I liked this because the student's were able to work independently and explore on their own. One thing I hope to use in my future classroom is seesaw. I like how it allows students to do so many different things while helping them learn.

Using programs like seesaw would allow teachers to give feedback in a timely manner to students. It would also create a sense of responsibility in students in making sure they are turning in their assignments. Paper is quickly becoming irrelevant. This is a great resource for teacher's to create interactive anchor charts with their students. Also, it is a clean space to share ideas and expand upon concepts visually for students to further their understanding. I think Jamboard is especially beneficial for schools now that may still be teaching remotely, as it can be accessed from anyone's personal computer.

Learning during the pandemic has dramatically informed my awareness of technology in the classroom (and “as the classroom”). As a preservice teacher, I have been a consumer of various online learning tools, and as a future educator, I see no slowing in the need to grow along with the technology. Every app, program, platform, and learning management system has its own login, rules, skills, and various built-in challenges. However, while it is important to effectively use what we have, we perhaps more importantly, need to cultivate a mindset that will allow us to stay flexible with the potential that will inevitably arise.

I think there are attributes of technological literacy that require us to engage with aspects of higher level thinking regardless of the specific electronic medium. In the classroom, I believe implementing technology will involve helping students develop problem-solving skills, reflect on use and purpose, and find better ways to address learning objectives through personal investigation. By investing time in the characteristics of technological literacy, I believe we are equipping our learners with the tools for lifelong success in a digital world.

If the past year has taught educators anything, it is that teachers can no longer push technology to the side and rely on the traditional textbook. Since the pandemic, a lot of school districts have gone one to one, giving every student some type of device (i.e. chrome book/iPads) to assist them in their classes and complete assignments. If this is the case for the school district I student teach in, I would love to have students use Padlet or Lino to respond to their daily warm up question. By doing this, the responses are easily shared amongst the students as they can see them on the projected screen and their personal screen. I believe using this technology will save instructional time as I do not have to wait for students to walk up to the board, physically record their answer, and then return. Furthermore, it also allows for everyone's answer to be displayed instead of only a few select students'. Overall, it is highly important for educators to familiarize themselves with these resources and introduce them to their students because they are not going away, and chances are, someone will have the students use them some point along the road.

I would really like to try using either Flipgrid or Padlet to have students respond in different ways to a single assignment. I also thought about using Seesaw as a tool for my class to engage in various activities and respond to posts made by their classmates. By doing this, I would also be promoting social emotional learning because I would be facilitating classwide communication. Overall, I don't want to overuse technology because I think that there is a fine line that should not be crossed. However, I would like to differentiate activities on Seesaw, Padlet, or Flipgrid so that students can have opportunities to respond to questions and have easier access to activities and online assignments.

Using technology in the classroom will not only excite your students because they enjoy using technology, especially in this digital age, but they will learn a lot through it as well. I really enjoy technology where students can see each other's work as well as have their parents see their work. An app that is like that is called Seesaw. I love Seesaw because there is a variety of formats that students can use to complete their assignments. They can draw, submit videos and photos, upload documents, share links, and use a note pad. I also love how parents and teachers as well as other classmates can comment on other people's work. It seems to promote a classroom community and as we know as future educators, students can learn a lot from each other. I will be using Seesaw as much as I possibly can when I student teach.

I can have them investigate and research things on the computer as part of the lab and have them record their data on a computer. I can also have them type a lab report and share ideas with other students using technology. I can also use something like Flipgrid to have students record their own weather forecasts. I could use Padlet to have students post their views or ideas on a certain science topic and pick a few students to respond to. I could even have students play a review game with Kahoot. I think the possibilites are endless and using technology will allow for more creativity.

During the pandemic technology has been used more and more in the classroom as learning tools and to connect the students to the teacher and each other. I think that using seesaw in the classroom could be really beneficial because not only can you use it to engage and interest students you can also use it to create activities and reflect on student work. This also allows children's parents and guardians to be able to see what the students are working on and comment, helping to expand and build the community in and out of the classroom. There are so many different options and different technology that you can use throughout the classroom.

There are many ways that I plan to use technology in my classroom and with my students. One way I want to use technology is to give my students more access to books to read. Using the different apps and websites that have many books on it, such as EPIC are an example of a technology source that I would have my students use so they are able to have access to a large variety of books both in and outside of my classroom. Other types of technology I plan to use in my classroom are apps such as, Seesaw and Kahoot. I think Kahoot is a great app to use because students enjoy games and the use of technology and it also allows me to assess what they have learned and areas they still need work in. Seesaw is also a great app to use in and outside of the classroom. I think it is a great way to allow parents to be involved in their child's education and be able to receive feedback from about their child's progress in the classroom. Another way I would use Seesaw is by putting the students homework assignments on Seesaw and having them turn it on there as well. This is a great way for students to enjoy doing their homework while also taking the responsibility of making sure it is turned in on time. It also can alleviate the issue of lost homework, which often occurs when students complete is but it gets lost between home and school.

Some ways I plan to achieve this is to not only use technology myself, to teach lessons and share content in a unique way, but also by giving my students many opportunities to utilize technology themselves. For example, I will have my students use sites like Book Creator, Explain Everything, and Educreations to demonstrate their knowledge through the use of multimedia. Also, I can develop my students' social and emotional learning with their academic learning with the use of collaborative sites like FlipGrid, Lino, and Padlet. Through technology integration, I can support my students in developing skills that will undoubtedly be beneficial for their future, based on the vast advancements in technology in the workforce and society as a whole.

As mentioned in a previous assignment, I truly do believe that computerized technology is the lens by which we are able to explore the world and learn in today's time. Also, expression of academia is also stronger, better, and more creative than the pen and paper, thus the delivery of knowledge as well as the perceiving, understanding, processing, and creating of knowledge is ruled by computerized technology. With the theory behind UDL in support, I believe it to be quintessential for educators to implement technology into the classroom, be it starting with the use of laptops/Chromebooks to utilizing apps, multimedia expression, and the like. Personally, I think I would like to implement the use of the SAMR model where I can change previously created learning models and advance them by giving them an "update" which implements technology, allowing them to be more than just enhanced, but transformed to a point where students can excel and grow in their academic and educational abilities.

Within the classroom, it is important to integrate technology in effective ways that will enhance learning. Technology is a useful tool for students with disabilities or for UDL. Technology can meet the needs' of students and also the needs of the class. During the pandemic, I got to view how crucial technology was to the education of the children. After experiencing that, my value of technology has increased and I can see myself using technology in a variety of ways in my classroom. Technology is a great way to build relationships and stay connected with the families of the classroom. I really like how SeeSaw allows families and teachers to interact. One way to effectively integrate technology into the classroom is through the use of a flip grid to allow for a student to learn, understand and share their comprehension of a topic. Another way to implement technology into the classroom is by having students create a podcast. Classmates and peers would then be able to listen to each others podcasts to learn about this system.

We are in the age of technology as people say, therefore technology will be used in my classroom. As the PowerPoint showed many different kids of websites and apps to use I would like to plan on using many of those. I also like this website that we are using for this course which is google classrooms. I would like to use this for my classroom on the regular in order to post assignments where students can upload their work. I will also post announcements if I would need to get information out to my students when we are not in the classroom. Technology is always advancing and new apps are being created everyday so as a teacher I will make sure to be informed and will allow technology to be used in my classroom.

In my future classroom I would like to incorporate technology as much as possible. We are in one of the most technologically advanced stages in our existence, and it's only getting more advanced with every year or decade. With every year, schools are adding more and more technology into our classrooms and curriculum. I would definitely be incorporating technology within my classroom, and use it as a resource to even help students with learning. For example, my observation teacher incorporates Kahoot and Quizlets within his classroom every day to help them with vocabulary words on Quizlet and with Kahoot to help them with quiz information. He keeps it light and fun with the students, by having them in teams on Kahoot and going against each other. I learned a lot from what he has been doing with technology and would definitely like to use those types of technology within my classroom. The ultimate goal is have technology as an outlet to better help students and give them the resources to succeed.

Using a variety of technology devices and tools, students can communicate, collaborate and be creative. Seesaw is a tool that I definitely want to use in the classroom. It is a digital portfolio tool where students can share their learning using photos, videos, drawings, text, PDFs and links. Many students can easily access it. I saw kindergartners even using it. Seesaw also shares what students do to teachers and parents.

Within my future classroom, I am going to integrate technology as much as I can. I think it is so important to bring technology tools into education as much as possible because students are using technology outside of school, so why not bring it into the classroom and make it beneficial? Using fun, creative apps, such as PowerPoint or Seesaw will gauge students attention and they may even enjoy them so much that they decide to play around with them in their free time at home. In my placement this semester, each student has an iPad, this shows that technology is a big part of not only our lives, but education. My teacher uses mathematic apps that she can monitor their work progress, and it also gives her more time in the classroom because they are doing things independently at home through technology. This is something I would want to use in my future classroom. Another piece of technology I would use in this aspect is Flocabulary. I would have students work on this website both independently and at home.

Technology is an important tool in our world today. Many children interact with technology on a daily basis whether it be a tv or iPad. In my future classroom, I want to foster the idea that technology is an educational and instructional tool within my classroom. I want my students to be comfortable with a variety of technological aspects with the understanding that we are using the technology in the classroom to practice a skill or gain new knowledge. It is also important that children learn how to safely use technology and use it in an appropriate manner. One website I want to integrate into my classroom is Dojo. It is a helpful tool for both children and parents to reflect on their behavior. I could put in points to reward children for their hard work. With a certain amount of points, the children can also win prizes. It is also a platform that is helpful with communicating with parents because they can see what the child is doing throughout the day by checking the points and comments.

We rely on it more heavily than ever, and it is important we as educators understand how to use it appropriately with our students. I think sometimes it may be easier to have students do basic tasks, however they are not learning as much as they could be with all of the other programs that are out there. For example, padlet (this) is any easy way to write sticky notes and view others. There can be photos and links added and you can make comments to your peers! Another fun application, is goose chase. In some of the schools where I have done observations they use the app Class Dojo where students can upload videos, pictures, or text. With this, the whole class can see what they are posting. Some things that I would like to use in my classroom are different reading apps that will have countless books that the students can be more engaged and interact with. Another thing I would like to use is websites like education.com where students can play different games, but as they are playing they are actually learning and solving problems. I would also like to use Google JamBoards. One idea that I believe I could use in my future classroom is that I can show videos to the children based off of the topic they are learning. The videos would be related to their age, so it would make sense to them. Children nowadays are all about and into technology, so using it in the classroom will be an advantage for them as well. Depending on the technology available at the school, it may allow you to stay connected to the children and their families, especially now because of the pandemic and we were able to see how that affected all of us. Another idea I have that incorporates technology into my classroom is playing educational games with the children that peaks their interest, but still follows the curriculum. For example, I could use kahoot, math websites, reading websites, and more.

I would want to use technology to not only engage my students but also to communicate with families. I would use technology for students to do projects and work on computer if they prefer that over pen and paper. They can use it to record their voice if they don't feel comfortable to stand in front of the class. I also love the idea of using technology to give brain breaks such as using go noodle to have a dance break. As for using technology to keep in touch with families there are multiple apps to upload class work and drawings and a number of other things so families can see what the class is doing and have an easy way to contact me! One other great thing about technology is that teachers can use it to see what students are doing on their computer to make sure they keep on track whether at home or in the classroom.

Educators should not just stick their children in front of an iPad or other technological device. I plan to embed technology in a purposeful way to enhance student knowledge on the content delivered. In secondary physics, the curriculum and material that needs to be covered can be rather rigid. (And most students I've encountered prefer to solve mathematical problems on pen and paper anyways.) Not to mention, it wouldn't be terribly difficult for a student to google around for some assistance, only to confuse themselves further with higher-level expressions of the same physics functions that they use in the classroom. The Internet could serve as a wonderful tool for contextualization however! A few minutes a day to demonstrate the historical introduction of a particular physics topic, perhaps presented as a class-wide "research race" with basic incentivization (snacks, etc.) could be an engaging start to a lesson.

I believe that technology should be incorporated to an extent within my classroom. While it can be nice to use interactive sites and apps for lessons sometimes, I am a strong believer in the idea that we shouldn't let technology run our lives. I look to incorporate quite a few of the previous resources mentioned into my classroom. For example I can see myself incorporating seesaw for students to be able to post assignments independently and record their reading (as I've seen done in placements I've observed at) and apps like the book creator to allow students to get creative and make their own story as a project rather than write an essay or do an oral presentation, they could simply showcase their knowledge and understanding through a short book. I want to keep up with the technology movement in my classroom however I still want to maintain a majority of our class time, lessons, etc in "old school" fashion with paper or physical whiteboards. There is still a need for handwriting skills, spelling without auto-correct/spelling, reading from physical books, etc and if we don't continue to teach and use these skills we may loose them or lose parts of them to the future. Take cursive writing for example, I love it yet most people my age and younger don't know how to write cursive anymore.

I believe that incorporating technology into the classroom environment, and exposing children to different types of technology is extremely important for success in todays society. When students get out into the real world and get a job, they will be expected to be competent in using technology. One way that I will incorporate technology into the classroom is by using resources such as seesaw to boost student motivation and give them experience in using many different parts of a device. Seesaw allows students to practice using a camera, uploading documents, and responding to their peers ideas. I will especially use resources such as Quizziz and Kahoot to help students review material that has already been taught. I can also incorporate videos for students to watch in order to activate their prior knowledge about a subject or to learn new content. I have also seen where teachers allow students to use educational apps on Ipads during free times. I can use Padlet to have students practice responding to a prompt and giving their reasons for their viewpoints. Students could also use this resource to respond to other's posts. Technology should be an integral part of the classroom environment, but teachers should ensure that technology is not distracting, and that it serves a purpose. Teachers should not just include technology for the sake of including technology.

I believe that technology should be incorporated into my classroom as a tool for me to use, but not to replace me. I think that technology as a tool in the hands of a good teacher will help add to and improve student learning and understanding, as well as aid in the creation and execution of student tasks. One way I can try to effectively incorporate technology into my classroom is by using book creator. I really like the concept of book creator because it provides an alternative way to a typical poster-board project where students can apply and create what they've learned to such a fun application! Book creator is a tool that I can use to instruct students to show the highest level of Bloom's Taxonomy learning and encourage them to add images, audio texts, and videos-- all of which accommodate almost all types of learners.

In my classroom, I plan to use technology to engage students in learning. A specific way is through Kahoots, where students compete to get answers right and this can also count as a form of informal assessment. With Kahoot, the teacher can see individual students' answers, but each student cannot see their peers accuracy. Kahoot provides a different way for assessing rather than paper and pencil assessment. Of course, Kahoots can only be used in grades around 2nd and up, but I think that this is a great way to engage students in learning!

I believe it is important for a teacher to integrate technology into the school day. I think it is a great way to engage student's especially in today's society, where technology is seen everywhere. I do believe though, that students still should be interacting with their peers and improving on their fundamental skills such as writing through a pencil and paper. I think technology is great, but could also be harmful to those learners that cannot afford it and are around their peers who can. I think if a school district is the one providing the students with the technology, then it would not single out a specific student. I think i can incorporate technology by making kahoots, using a smart board, seesaw, and educational computer games and websites to enhance learning,.

I really like the idea of using padlet as a formative assessment/exit ticket in place of physical post it notes. I think goosechase would be a fun way to hold ice breakers with your class. Instead of using the BINGO board (see attached pic), students can do a scavenger hunt through goosechase. Students can take pictures of each other and label with names, which I would think would make it easier for students to remember each other. Seesaw is a great way for teachers to give assignments, receive completed assignments, and communicate with students AND parents. The district I work for also uses Clever to sign into the different platforms. In clever, a teacher can also add links for their students to go to. I think linoit would be a great tool to use (maybe in place of padlet) since students don't need to make an account. I have also created Blookets and put a link for the students on clever, too. Blooket is like Quizziz or Kahoot, but it has other games to keep the competition up within the competition.

The hyperdocument would include numerous activities, such as Padlet, links to articles and videos, games such as Kahoot and Quizlet, and even Flipgrid. The students can complete many of these activities at their own pace, and it allows the teacher to become more engaged with the class and focus on students who need more support. However, I do believe that technology should not completely replace instruction. There is definitely room for face-to-face interaction and discussions, which I find to be equally important.

I do, however, think that technology should be viewed and utilized as a tool, but should not take the place of the teacher when it comes to teaching. One idea that I think would be a great tool for teachers to use in their classrooms is the use of online games, which could also act as assessments. This could be games such as Kahoot, Quizlet Live, Jeporady, online escape rooms, and so on. These games are designed to access knowledge, but not necessarily take over the role of the teacher. They provide fun and interactive practice for students.

Through the use of online educational tools such as Legends of Learning, an online learning platform for all ages and subjects, you can draw in your students through the lesson mini games and quizzes while monitoring progress and adjusting difficulties along the way. This is not the only option as you can create jeopardy games, "social media" post assignments, virtual lab experiments, etc. The possibilities with technology is endless, but it is ultimately HOW it is incorporated and used that matters.
