Working in Jem Mc Donald for about 4 months. Mainly a food server and help to stock up the ingredient. I learnt how to deal with customers better during peak hours period as it tends to be crowded. I also learnt communicating skills , so I can communicate better with other employees.

I am Mingyao from Regent Secondary school. I would describe myself as a friendly, responsible and adaptable person. I enjoy interacting with different people, working as part of a team, and stepping out of my comfort zone to try new things. Through my experiences in being class chairperson , I have developed skills such as communication, teamwork and responsibility. These experiences taught me how important it is to listen to others, remain calm when facing challenges and work together towards a common goal. I love how a single experience can turn a simple trip a memorable trip. I love the energy of fast paced environment and the art of service. SGP is a world class tourism hub, I hope I can be in the next generation

I am genuinely interested in the tourism and hospitality industry, and I am eager to develop my communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills. I was also attracted to RP because of its strong connection with the industry. Opportunities such as internships, industry projects and partnerships would allow me to understand what the industry is actually like and gain experience before I graduate

One thing that attracted me to RP is the emphasis on practical and hands-on learning. I don't want to only learn the theory behind tourism and hospitality. I want to experience the industry, interact with people and understand how the knowledge I learn can be applied in real life situations. I also like that the course allows me to explore different areas before choosing a specialisation in Year 2.
