When someone is injured it is important to figure out which anatomical plane they are injured in. These words help responders to communicate accurately when identifying injuries.

In places where two bones meet you will find cartilage on each bone end, synovial and joint membranes, synovial fluid, ligamentous support, and synovial capsule. All of these protect two bone ends from touching and sliding together and help keep us moving healthy.

By accessing gait you are able to determine whether someone pronates or is flat footed. And able to notify them so they are able to buy a way to prevent that from happening.

Learning each part and the medical terms behind it helped me to understand more about the way the body works and how to identify and access injuries. I learned about anatomical joints and planes and how to distinguish them. I learned about synovial joints and bone types and how to identify them. I learned how to identify all bones of the appendicular skeleton. I also learned how skeletal muscles are named and can identify different technical regions of the body. Lastly I learned how to apply the relationship between medical terms and layman terms.

I learned how to find and access injuries and then was taught how to handle them. I learned how to handle first aid situations rationally and have knowledge on emergency action plan for if I ever encounter an emergency. I learned about types of people who deal with these topics and how to identify people on a sports medicine team. I learned how to differentiate between each sports medicine jobs and what each one accomplishes. I learned about first aid and emergency action plans and how to explain universal precautions. I also learned how to tape injuries in places like the ankle, wrist, shoulder, and knee. I learned how to handle emergency situations. I learned how to perform CPR and EMS. I learned about various bone injuries and how to identify them. Learned how to properly use emergency kits and how to understand them.
