This is our first step for our Realistic Fiction Story when we were getting a few ideas for our story to write about and we had a few in our mind that we had experienced such as a Chess tournament and etc. After that we chose one of the ideas which we could write the best about with engrossing information and feelings our moments that you can relate to.

Though the most thing that we had required to include in our Realistic Fiction Story is our feelings and thoughts that had flowed inside our head and so we had chose the best topic for our writing unit.

Another thing we had required for our Realistic Fiction Story is friendship and good character traits and a strong problem such as scared to fail and etc and a meaningfull solution. We chose the best idea and my best idea was the badminton tornument.

For our 2nd step in our Realistic Fiction Story we had started to develop our characters on a sheet of paper using external and internal traits to have a strong impact on the characters feelings and thoughts in our story using the external and internal traits on the ones we had done with Mrs. Uma for a real life character but had tweaked a bit of it to make it a lot more engrossing so that the reader wont put down the book.

One of the main things that we had needed for is that the character had required a strong internal problem that you could make up to make the story more interesting to the reader. We had also needed to develop a strong and meaningful solution which makes sense and the problem should have developed suspense in the story. On of the needed to include a strong internal trait that the character has so that the solution would relate to how the character solved it.

3rd step for our Realistic Fiction Story

For our 3rd step in our Realistic Fiction Story we had started to write a few blurbs for our story to make the reader see if this book is the type that they like to read, when we were writing our blurbs, we had added onomatopoeia, engrossing events, questions and a slight description on the problem and how the character might be able to solve it with a bit of help perhaps.

Writing a blurb helped us to give the writer a better idea on the story to make it more catchy and a lot more suspense so that the reader would make predictions on what might happen next in the story.

Another reason on why we had written a blurb is so that we could also add a few more external/internal traits and strong thoughts and feelings that might make a impact on the story which shows how the character had solved the problem. Example: Alex had hacked the code because of his intelligenes and etc.

In our fourth step for our realistic fiction story we had made 4 post its representing the beginning, middle part one and the middle part 2. This had helped us because we could be more systematic and organise our story in a more systematic way so that we could plan on how our story goes.

Later on we had tried switching around the post its to see if the story would make more sense that way, we also tried to see if the story would work if we delete a scene or start with a flashback, eventually after we tried it out it had worked for my story so now my story is without a scene.

Later on after we had finished doing our post its we had gone out with a partner and a whiteboard and marker. What we had done is when they had read it out with the whiteboard and marker we had written down a few positives about the story and a few suggestions on how they could lay it out better or make the story more interesting. After that I had made my story a little more obvious that Alex was scared to fail in the badminton match becae that was a tip from my partners point of view/a listeners point of view.

For our last and final step for our Realistic Fiction Story we had made a story ark which is basically a ark that has a beginning, middle and end and in the space you write about what events would be happening in those scenes. This helped us in our story to make it into a more systematic and organised way so that we could plan our story outso that when we write it out we could see what scenes would happen next and use proper transitions for this aspect into moving into the next paragraph.

After we had finished doing that we did the same things with the post it notes and we went out with a partner and a whiteboard and marker. What we had done is when they had read it out with the whiteboard and marker we had written down a few positives about the story and a few suggestions on how they could lay it out better or make the story more interesting. We had also added traits the reader might want to see in the story, make the problem stronger or the solution more meaningful.
