Students will learn and recognize various jobs within the community by listening to visitors of the community. This will be conducted like a career day. Guest speakers can introduce themselves and their contribution to the community. This is informational while providing students with a non-traditional learning environment to keep them engaged.

I think it is important to establish self-confidence from a young age to promote excitement to learn. https://youtu.be/BOv4EnaeM9w

Classroom role-playing: Students can role-play a mock grocery store. some children will stock the shelves, some will be checkers, some will work at the counters and some can be shoppers. This will allow students to engage in play while learning that everyone plays a role and that all jobs are important for a community to function properly. "Several additional strategies promoting active learning have been similarly shown to influence favorably student's attitude and achievement" (Bonwell & Eison, 1991, p. 7). This solidifies the concept that deeper understanding and connections can be formed by active play in the classroom

The concept by incorporating role-playing and various experiences for the children is to promote learning for all students. Every child learns differently so as a future teacher I feel it is my job to incorporate activities and opportunities for each of them to gain comprehension. This comes from the teaching strategy of using Project-based investigating, because of all the studies showing how it is not only effective for learning but it inspires students to WANT to learn. " For example, students explained that they were inspired to work harder and produce better quality final products because they had a choice in the public product (Auth2.4s) and the project had an authentic audience with real-world connections beyond school" (Evans, 2019, p. 13)
