video link on how to draw a modern f1 car just like how i want to for my summative

i chose this video because it teaches me how to draw the new model of the f1 car for my art deco summative drawing, so once i learn how to draw it from the video and i apply it onto the paper, all thats left is the background, which i can do. without a tutorial, like i will keep the tracks like in the new picture i added , but switch out the rest of the background like keep the clouds but make them higher in the skiy and making the clouds have art deco in them and the sky be filled with a specific art deco pattern and hav eteh f1 logo up in the sky in red

how my ideas relate to the theme :

My idea connects to the theme of Art Deco through both design elements and color choices. In my artwork, I chose to paint a red Ferrari Formula 1 car racing on a track that is made up of repeating diamond and triangle patterns, which are inspired by the strong geometric shapes often seen in Art Deco architecture and design. These shapes give the piece a bold, decorative look that fits the style of the 1920s–30s. And I also will use an emerald green background liek the formative , which is a color commonly associated with Art Deco luxury and elegance. And The green complements the red car and adds to the richness of the composition, much like how Art Deco used rich, contrasting tones. And The F1 logo billboard is a modern touch, but it blends with the overall design to create a fusion of modern sports and vintage style, which helps show how Art Deco can still inspire today’s art.

color palette

for my color palette and samples I’ve chosen a color palette that blends modern Formula 1 energy with the bold, decorative style of Art Deco. I will use dark and light greys for the racetrack and the very light beige almost like grey , including diamond shaped patterns to reflect the symmetry and geometry typical of Art Deco design. And The light grey will also act as subtle shading under the tires to give the car a grounded, realistic look. The Ferrari F1 car will be painted in a bright red, contrasted with soft baby pink details to create visual interest and highlight the form of the car . This contrast mirrors Art Deco’s love for value because pink is a shade of red and i also will use value in the race track because its dark grey then light then almost beige grey . and To add a sense of luxury and elegance, I’ll use golden yellow as highlighting on the car, making certain features stand out like some parts on the cars tires. And The background will be a deep emerald green, a classic Art Deco color that adds depth and richness to the scene. And lastly As a final detail, I will include the F1 logo as a billboard in the background held by a wooden pole which is where i will use the browns , like light brown and to make it more realistic use dark brown for certain strokes to make it look like actual wood , blending the vintage poster feel with a modern racing identity. These elements together aim to create a visually strong piece that celebrates both speed and Art Deco sophistication and they come to create a art piece blended with modrenss , and art deco so the art movement which is really beautiful.

the layout i will use and why:

For my summative, i will be doing my art piece landscape because i believe that way i can make the tracks much longer and give it more depth like the tracks are long and i think it will showcase tart deco also much better that way because apart of art dceo elements are depth . and for the layout the F1 car will be slightly angled, similar to how it was demonstrated in the tutorial video. I believe this perspective will enhance the overall composition and align well with my vision and i will do it like how i did it in my formative as well , i'll just adjust the tracks and make them longer and deeper depending on that and how the cars sketch turns out and i will also slightly use the flat shading technique on the car to make it more most realistic like and like its coming form the tracks just like how i want it to be and i will put the f1 bill board next to where the car is coming from but like further back so it looks like the car passed it because i think that will look really good because in the formative it was i think a little to close to the car and to near , like it didn't look the best in my opinion .

where will art deco be in my summative ?

In my summative, the Art Deco style will show through the design of the Formula 1 racetrack. I plan to use long, repeating diamond and triangle shapes that stretch into the background. These shapes create a sense of movement and depth, making it look like the track goes far back. This connects to Art Deco because that style often uses strong geometric patterns, clean lines, and symmetry. Art Deco is known for looking stylish, modern (for its time), and bold and that’s what I want the track to feel like. So even though the subject is a modern F1 car, the background design will give it a classic Art Deco twist.

concept of change

The F1 car in my artwork represents the idea of change because I’m taking an old art style which is Art Deco and mixing it with a modern version of an F1 car. In the past, Art Deco paintings sometimes showed classic or vintage race cars, since the style comes from the 1920s–1930s. But I’m changing that by using a modern F1 Ferrari and putting it into an Art Deco inspired scene. This shows how art and ideas can change over time, and how something new can be created by blending the past with the present. and i also chose transporation because i found that topic connceted to me the most because i can bring it out with art deco because also drawing cars is a passion of mine so i think with the passion the final product will be really good.

My F1 car artwork is part of visual culture because it uses images and design to show ideas from both the past and present. F1 racing is a big part of today’s sports, and people recognize the cars, logos, and brands like Ferrari. In my artwork, I take a modern F1 car and mix it with the Art Deco style from the 1920s and 1930s. This shows how visual culture can change over time and how old and new styles can come together. My art isn’t just decoration rather it tells a story and connects different time periods. The F1 logo and Ferrari name are symbols people see in everyday life, which makes my artwork a clear example of visual culture.
