To commemorate racial harmony day ,we, student council would like to promote having a traditional food festival which students can have a chance to try out different food from different race. 

Elaboration:In Singapore, there are a total of four different race, Malay,Chinese, Indian, Eurasian. Each races have different traditional food, and taste. Classes can bring their own traditional food for their friends ,classmates and teachers to try. 

Example:For example, this activity can take place after school and students are allowed to bring back home to eat. Everyone could feel free to take one, bring back home and enjoy. Students can take this time at home to explain the traditional foods they ate and how is it unique to their race.

It can be done the day before Racial Harmony day where in a class each races would group up to choose a dish they would like to let the other races try. Afterwards, on the day itself they would let their classmates of a different race try the food as they explain details of the dish and why it's their Favourite.

ELABORATION: Every race has different preferences for example, caucasians prefer deep fried food and the thai's prefer spicy food. So by organising a food festival, we can have a chance to taste new food we had never taken before.

EXAMPLE: we have people from all around the world and they have their own likings to what type of food they prefer to eat. The chinese would prefer light food and the malays would prefer deep fried food such as fried chicken wings with rice when the chinese prefer chicken rice, the indians prefer prata with curry and the eurasians prefer western food like steak.
