It was the british army vs the chinese army and ended as the bloodiest battle. It went on for three days until they were both forced to retreat. 527 men were captured by the chinese army and taken as prisoners. south korea gathered a lot of troops and came back harder then ever to stop chinese from advancing.

United States and the Soviets didn't fight directly but fought each other indirectly, by sending troops and materials. the Korean war was a proxy war for the cold war because USA didn't support communism. While the soviets did support communism. The Korean war impacted not just Korea but the world. Korea lost a lot of there population, families split up, and created the world's most heavily fortified border.
