    Este solemne recinto fue el salón general de actos del colegio jesuita. Se le llamó "Generalito" para distinguirlo del Salón General de la Real y Pontificia Universidad de México, que era de mayor jerarquía.
    La Capilla
    La Capilla del Antiguo Colegio de San Ildefonso fue inaugurada en diciembre de 1739. Su decoración lucía un coro con su órgano, seis retablos barrocos, esculturas y pinturas de santos, reliquias y objetos litúrgicos de metales preciosos.
    La Sacristía
    Se ubica en la planta baja, en el corredor norte del Patio de Pasantes. Tiene comunicación directa con la antigua Capilla y el acceso por el patio es a través de una puerta en cuyo interior ostenta un arco labrado en forma de concha.
    Anfiteatro
    A principios del siglo XX se planeó ampliar las instalaciones de la Escuela Nacional Preparatoria con la construcción de un edificio anexo destinado para oficinas y un anfiteatro. El arquitecto Samuel Chávez (1867-1929) se encargó del proyecto.
