Yes, if I learned anything, the key is proper strategies and tactics when it comes to apologizing to the public. Honestly, I think cancel culture is getting really too much. I think people will not learn nor grow from their mistakes if they are canceled forever. So yeah allowing him back was okay because let's see what he learned from his mistakes

For this, Ellen 100% needs to be held at fault because she is the star. It is her responsibility to make sure she created a pleasant work place for her employees. It's her show. Therefore it's her responsibility. Of course the executives who contributed need to be held accountable but at the end of the day Ellen's show, it's her fault. I don’t know if I think her image was permanently damaged but I do believe it was permanently tainted. For one, I read something about her online with how she got a server in a restaurant fired and after reading that. I prayed that she never came to the hotel where I worked out of pure fear. Not really, because she could have just said she didn't realize, she takes accountability and used the show to show reform. I think this was the push she needed to stop. End the show in her prime before more bad things came out perhaps.

In this situation, Dobrik failed to administer a socially correct and effective apology. When it comes to sensitive and extreme topics such as this, it is necessary to show nothing but remorse, regret and be transparent of the shame you feel. As well as a substantial apology. By avoiding the allegations and failing to comment added to his guilt and lacked the steps needed to manage a crisis. I really do not think there is anything. The allegations made against him are too damaging for one, and unforgivable especially after the way he handled it. If he were to come completely clean and issue more than just an apology perhaps he can rebuild his brand. He needs to completely change his image like Kobe did after 1997. 100%. The allegations were so severe that it was smart for them to distance themselves and not create the illusion that they support men like Dobrik.

I think it took him so long because culture appropriation did not finally get recognized or receive the necessary attention until somewhat recently. Yes, because it's stealing someone else's culture and history, and also racist and offensive. To make the step in the right direction in order for this country's future to finally do the right thing by people. I think it made a difference, every small step in becoming better always inspires change all around. It is portraying the image that growth is always possible.

Prior to this, I had no idea who any of these people were, their platform nor this entire situation that happened. Honestly aside from defending themselves she could have added a little extra remorse. I do not think it was effective enough for people today. All they want to do is cancel people and the apology was not good enough to satisfy people. Maybe I am the only one who thinks these girls dont need to be canceled and it really was not that big of a deal. The handling was okay, it could have been better. They needed to give the public what they wanted in order to prevent being canceled. People are too sensitive. I would have constructed the apology a tad better. I would actually let her defend herself to an extent so she could explain to everyone why it came off the way it did. But I would add rectifying, and remorse. For example as she's defending herself she could have acknowledged that despite all of that she could have handled the situation differently and that she was sorry to her parents, guests and for appearing in a bad manner.
