The size, shape, and color of matter may change. Physical changes occur when substances are mixed but don't chemically react.<br><br></div><div><br></div><div><br>How to Identify a Physical Change</div><div><br>One way to identify a physical change is that such a change may be reversible, especially a <a href="https://www.thoughtco.com/definition-of-phase-change-605905">phase change</a>. For example, if you freeze water into an ice cube, you can melt it into the water again. Ask yourself&nbsp;</div><div>Physical and Chemical Properties of Matter</div><ul><li>Is the change reversible?          <title>Materials are the substances that anything is made from. Doors, for example, can be made from iron, wood or glass. Different materials have different properties. If we look at glass we find it transparent, hard but can be broken. Wood is strong and stiff, it can be hard or soft. Plastic also is a very useful material that can be transparent or opaque, hard or soft, and has many colors.We also have metals and non-metals which are opposite. Metals are shiny and have high melting point, good electrical and heat conductivity. Iron, Aluminum and copper are all metals. Non-metals are not shiny and have low melting point, bad and heat conductivity. Carbon, sulphur and phosphorus are all non-metals, but only carbon is a good conductor of electricity.</title>
