Today I will be talking about my adventure of going to Murchison Performing Arts Center to partake in the University of North Texas, Wind Symphony perform their first concert of the year. Tickets were free so easy access in to find a good seat in the middle of the few front rows to have a better listening environment. The band played four pieces which are, "Bach's Fugue a la Gigue," "Hammersmith: Prelude and Scherzo," "Blue Shades," and "Symphony No. 8 "Unending Strwam of Life"," which were all great selections to play during this entire concert and a pleasure to actually listen to.

Alright so this is me showing off that free ticket i was talking about. Since this is only a preview of what my actual review is. Ill just drop that it was an amazing performance from the ensemble entirely. Great setting and overall produced excellent sounds throughout the performance. Upgrade from an average high school band and i recommend that you go out and see one someday.

These were the music selections from what they played at the concert. My favorite had to be Symphony No. 8 due to the fact that it sounded so beautiful despite it being long. The band actually outplayed themselves even though they went through 3 different pieces to perform a 3 part piece toward the end of the concert. Really enjoyable overall and i loved it.

This was honestly the only piece that caught me off guard due to the fact that it sounded a lot more jazzy than what i expected from a classical music concert in the first place. Sounded great but i was really confused on what this choice was about but i did make the concert interesting before they took a break in between.
