A rice paddy is agricultural land used for growing rice, usually consisting of a large expanse of land bordered by embankments. The surface of the rice paddy is often flooded, especially during the planting season, as rice requires moist conditions to thrive. Rice paddies are typically located in lowlands, terraced hillsides, or along riverbanks. The sight of rice paddies is synonymous with the fresh green color of young rice, turning golden yellow at harvest time. In addition to serving as a place for rice production, rice paddies are also an important part of village life, providing a source of livelihood, maintaining ecosystem balance, and beautifying the natural landscape with a calming panorama.Besides being a place for farming, rice paddies are also home to many small animals that contribute to the balance of nature. The sounds of insects at night and the chirping of birds during the day add to the vibrant and beautiful atmosphere of the rice paddies. In the distance, Mount Ciremai towers majestically, creating a beautiful natural backdrop. The highest mountain in West Java adds to the beauty of the rice paddies, seemingly sheltering the surrounding villages. The combination of the verdant rice paddies and the majestic Mount Ciremai creates a sense of serenity, peace, and tranquility for all who gaze upon it.

The History of Parangtritis Beach

The history of Parangtritis Beach is an interesting thing to discuss. This beach, which is never empty of visitors, is famous for its folklore about the guardian of the sea, Nyi Roro Kidul.

Parangtritis is famous for its romantic view at sunset. In addition, this tourist attraction also has big waves, and around it there are several sand dunes.

Quoted from the book Explore Indonesia by Puput Alvia, the location of this beach is in Parangtritis Village, Kretek Subdistrict, Bantul Regency, about 27 km from the center of Yogyakarta City.

As one of the tourist destinations that is never quiet, Parangtritis Beach has history and folklore that are still spread by word of mouth until today. Quoting from the book Peningkatan Pariwisata Pesisir Pulau Jawa by Dr. Noto Pamungkas, according to legend, the history of Parangtritis began when a fugitive from Majapahit, Dipokusumo, was meditating on a beach.

While meditating, he saw water dripping (tumaritis) from the cracks of coral rocks (parang). Finally, Dipokusumo named the beach “Parangtritis.”

Local people believe that this beach is a representation of the unity between Mount Merapi, the Yogyakarta Palace, and Parangtritis Beach itself. Besides being famous for its beauty, the beach is also popular because of the legend that has been passed down from generation to generation about the Queen of the Southern Sea, Nyi Roro Kidul, who guards Parangtritis.

According to the legend, Nyi Roro Kidul was a princess of the Sunda Kingdom who was expelled from the palace. She loved the color green, which can be seen from her green clothes. It is said that if someone visits Parangtritis wearing green clothes, Nyi Roro Kidul will be attracted and make them her follower. Because of this myth, not many visitors dare to wear green when they go on vacation to Parangtritis.

Amazon River

The name "Amazon" comes from the ancient Greek myth of a powerful warrior woman. It was given by the explorer Francisco de Orellana in the 16th century after his expedition was attacked by long-haired natives. The Amazon River is the largest and one of the longest river systems in the world, located in South America and flowing through several countries before emptying into the Atlantic Ocean. It supports the Amazon rainforest, which is a center of biodiversity with its vast and powerful drainage system, and is home to a wide variety of aquatic and terrestrial life. With more than 1,000 tributaries, the Amazon has the largest water discharge volume of any river, serves as a major transportation source for its inhabitants, and is a vital resource for its ecosystem and society. Located in northern South America, it originates in the Peruvian Andes Mountains and flows through Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Bolivia, and Brazil. The Amazon River is the main support of the vast Amazon rainforest, which is home to extraordinary biodiversity. No bridges: Uniquely, there are no bridges spanning the main Amazon river. This is due to the river's constantly changing conditions, frequent overflows, and location in a sparsely populated rainforest area.

Citumang is a waterfall located in Bojong Village, Parigi District, Pangandaran Regency, West Java Province. The Citumang River is known for its clear water that flows serenely over rocks along both sides. Citumang is a popular natural tourist destination in Pangandaran.
The beauty of Citumang lies in its pristine and unspoiled nature. The Citumang River flows through centuries-old teak forests, creating a truly enchanting landscape. The clear, bluish-green water, combined with shady trees and overhanging roots, and colorful, moss-covered rocks create a cool and serene atmosphere. Besides being renowned for its beauty and charm, Citumang Pangandaran in West Java also harbors a myth that remains deeply rooted in the local community. Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess named Citumang who lived in a kingdom in Pangandaran. Princess Citumang was so beautiful that many princes sought her hand in marriage. During her journey, Princess Citumang crossed many rivers. However, some of the rivers she had crossed were dry, forcing her to stop for a moment. Due to the dryness of the rivers, the envoys and their entourage discontinued their journey and chose to stop at the riverbank.

HELLO!

My name is Triyana Reskie

Here I will describe a beach called Pangandaran Beach.

The road to get there must pass a bridge that crosses Lake Jiak. After passing it, you will immediately arrive at Pangandaran Beach. I will describe the land area first. The land area is beautiful to look at, let alone the sea. On land, there are crabs, hermit crabs, and sea urchins. There are also many trees lined up along the shore. If you ask me if you have been there or not, the answer is I have been there and it was very exciting. Next, we will move to the sea area. You can probably see for yourself from the picture above. The sea water is very blue like the sky. When you look at it, it feels like you want to swim there because the water is very beautiful. There may be beautiful and beautiful fish there. On the other side, there are also other islands, which I call coral islands because there are lots of coral rocks there. If we want to go there, we have to rent a boat to cross them. Maybe that's all the description from me. Sorry if there are any mistakes, I will take my leave. Thank you for your attention. See you later. next time
