Girls were mentioned a lot by our speakers. If the standard categories were men, women, and youth, our speakers made sure to acknowledge the girls and boys have very different experiences and needs. When we think about gender justice this should not be exclusively about adults.

Something to consider & address (if it hasn't already been considered) is how the FLC is composed of many different funders and how we each define women's rights and/or gender justice differently -- for example, for FJS using gender justice broadly to include all feminists in their diversity including LBTQI is really important. In the context of philanthropic advocacy more broadly, we also understand strategic framing and language use in order to "move the needle" and depending on the audience or type of funder and more traditional funders that we're trying to influence.
