2. Impatient students who only want answers
3. Students unable to verbalise their thoughts
4. Asking appropriate questions to trigger students' thought processes
5. Same student answering all questions
6. Responding to wrong answers in an encouraging way
7. Collating responses which are representative of the class

- Students not understanding the question
- Take too long
- Students not confident in sharing answers
- Give answers that may not be what we are looking for --> Need to redirect them a few times
- No linkage to what they have learnt
- Shallow responses (yes/no/good/bad)
- Always the same students answering
- Irrelevant questions
- Students may know answer but they have difficulty articulating/verbalising it
- Try to give "model answer" from the textbook
- Unresponsive students

3) Irrelevant responses and the need to redirect their responses
4) Same group of students who will share their answers
5) misinterpretation of questions
6) students afraid of giving the wrong answers
7) overly-reliant on answer schemes and always relying on model answers

Challenges faced:
STUDENTS PERSPECTIVE
- No response from the students
- Lack of ability to express themselves in their Mother Tongue language
- Different learning styles (Some take longer time therefore they will end up not sharing)
- Different personality (More vocal ones will tend to speak up more)
- Lack of interest in the topic/subject
- Lack of background knowledge in the topic/subject
TEACHERS PERSPECTIVE
- Our ability as a teacher to probe more focused answer from them (Teacher's skills to break down questions according to different abilities of students)
- Our ability as a teacher not to side track from our main objective
- Waiting time is too long and we may not be able to finish our syllabus in time

When students provide simple answers/ one word answers

When all students want to answer the question at the same time

When teachers do not wait for answer (Teacher spoonfeeds)

Students do not learn the concept even after giving the right answer
