My ethnicity is Mexican American. My parents are originally from Mexico, and I was born in the U.S. Being Mexican American has influenced my values and the way I was raised. I am proud to be living in the United States, and I am proud of my Mexican ancestry.

This is my first semester as a student at Salt Lake City Community College. College has been a new and exciting experience for me. Even with the hardships and challenges, I enjoy being a part of SLCC and look forward to the upcoming semesters.

I am originally from Los Angeles, California. I lived there for most of my life. I did not realize how accustomed I had become to the culture of California, until I moved to Utah. An example of this is fry sauce. I did not know what that was before I arrived to Utah.
